I'm procrastinating because I'm here watching the video. I'm procrastinating watching the video because I'm reading the comments while watching said video. @demonwolfies
3 жыл бұрын
I was called out twice, then procrastinated more by reading the reply's to this comment, now I'm procrastinating by replying to this comment, at this point I'm calling my self out abt the fact I'm procrastinating, which in its self is procrastinating, I just fell into a loophole of procrastinating, and I'm still going on for some rsn, I prob. need to stop this, but the thing is not only am I procrastinating via writing all this, you are now procrastinating by reading this long reply, on a comment that you also procrastinated by reading, on a video that you most likely are watching while procrastinating, and the fact that you have read this long into my reply on a comment just shows how much you are procrastinating rn, honestly why are you still reading this, you know your procrastinating something rn, you could be doing that thing instead of reading a reply of someone who is procrastinating by writing this long reply, you know you should be doing it so why aren't you? the real question is why are you still reading this, at this point there's no point in convincing you to stop reading this, well I should prob. stop procrastinating and go do stuff, why are you still reading this, I've been typing for like 10min straight, which just shows maybe I'm the one who should just stop procrastinating, I mean tbh you do you, you've gotten this far so I see you have dedication, but tbh you should go do that thing your procrastinating, there's no way you have read this far and are not procrastinating lol, I'm kind of running out of things to say, well what's funny is most likely no ones gonna read this far so I kind of wasted all this time, oh well, that's kind of the point of procrastination xD, still not sure why I'm still typing, I have to insist you stop reading tho, I mean even if your gonna continue procrastinating there are better ways to do it then continue reading this long reply, well I guess your thinking I've made it this far I might as well continue, or your just curious what I'm gonna say or how am I still continuing to continue coming up with ideas of semi pointless stuff to continue talking abt while procrastinating, at this point I'm genuinely impressed that you have read this far, well all I have left to say at this point is, well, since you've made it this far, have a good time procrastinating I guess, and I'm happy that you spent the time reading my reply

There's another brain hack that can work: Break things down in two minute tasks. When we have chores and things to do, break them down into 2 minutes of work. Then we can't use the excuse that there isn't enough time. Everyone can spare 2 minutes. It doesn't feel as daunting. We don't have to complete the task, just spend 2 minutes on it. Often once we start doing it, we will just continue until it's done. Even if we don't we are closer to having finished it than we were before.

Yes, for almost two years, I've been fighting daily against this, so far I've had two deadlines which I didn't meet. I haven't even started writing it, as I'm currently writing this, I have my desk ready, my computer, I've spent the last week understanding the why's, how to overcome it and making it so easy to begin that I won't be able to find another excuse. One thing i do, which has helped me, is just write down what i want to accomplish every week, and then telling myself that i owe all that work to myself. For example going to the gym 5 times a week. I write which days are push, pull and leg days, and which days i do cardio, because then i will know on the day, that i owe myself that workout. It has helped a lot, because i used to say to myself on the day that i was too tired ro run after that hard workout. Now i just do it without no second thoughts.

This really speaks to me in regards to seeking mental therapy, the thought of it is scary, feel the resistance to go almost immediately as the thought passes through my mind. Knowing its something incredibly crucial to my growth and would eliminate a lot of the hurdles in my path to actually achieving more in life, even then I find myself feeling the strong pull back from following through on actually seeking help. Along with my ADHD, having executive dysfunction being one of the biggest issues I face when trying to start some sort of project or advancing on some sort of idea, i find myself constantly feeling stuck in the same place. Rejection sensitive dysphoria or the fear of failing is also one of my biggest hurdles, but i feel is unrelated to the subject in this video. I found this video to be extremely profound and motivational for me to actually push through the bullshit my mind tricks me into believeing and makes me feel more comfortable with facing the resistance head on and following through with aiding my mental health. Thank you man. I love your channel and come back to it from time to time whwn im feeling as though im not tapping into any productive behaviors. I appreciate you a lot man.

This vid, came in at the right time I've been feeling this so-called resistance for quite some time now. I'm currently in school and for some reason, I can't seem to find the inspiration or meaning to why I need to do the things I need to do, this has brought my grades down and it just seems harder and harder to just get things done, but listening to this made me interested in reading the war of art. It completely changed the way I look at my objectives now, I used to feel this immense pressure whenever I would think about school work for example, but now I just do it without letting resistance even have a chance to begin nagging at me. Consequently not only have my grades gone up but my self-esteem has too, I don't feel as hopeless anymore.

Here is a highlight from the video, it might helps you to start doing, it's not better than watching the video of course :) So let's get started . The more the thing is important to your growth, the more you will procrastinate about it, this called Resistance . To hold you from doing your thing, Resistance push you to give yourself excuses and actually believe them! EX: your about to wake up at 6 Am, Resistance :its okay to sleep another one hour, it's not that bad, you still can finish the subject, you've been hustling for a long time, it's not a big deal go to sleep, It seems logical right? Well it's not! you have to know that whatever LOGICAL Reason you have for not doing that thing is just Resistance. (Also one of the reasons could be Perfectionism ) . Solution Start doing it anyway, When you start by the first step: just get up from bed, just open the book and start reading, Something magically happens, the inspiration will magically be there! So yeah, I hope this will help us with procrastination, good luck to all of you :)
