Putting the cooling rack on the other side of the grill was the light bulb moment for me, that's perfect.

I'm glad it helped. I realized I didn't explain one of the reasons why and that's to keep whatever is on your grill grates off the food. That trick can come in handy outside of frying too.

Can you do this on charcoal grill?!?

I was wondering if I could deep fry on a gas grill after I fried chicken inside for the first time in years and realized why I don’t fry chicken anymore. Why isn’t this topic more common? I think this is the only fry on gas grill video on KZitem.

Just searched this up to try to find a decent way to fry bluegill without stinking up the house. I agree it should be more common

Awesome but can the same be duplicated on a charcoal grill?

I've seen people do it, but it is a lot harder to hit the right temperatures and you can't turn the fire off if something goes wrong. I don't recommend it.

Once it's cooled, you can put it in the original container and reuse it or toss it. I've heard of some people donating to restaurant oil bins in the middle of the night.

You can also buy pots that are for frying, they have a thermometer and they have a built in filter to clean the oil and store it for later use.

I’ve got one of those circular George Foreman electric grills. Does the cooking surface get hot enough to heat up a pot of oil? I’m dying to try fried chicken but my wife’s not keen on indoor frying.

I can't say for sure, but it's 1600 watts and that should be ok for pan frying. One challenge may be the five heat settings and getting the temp right.

Maybe I’m slow but why at the end did you say to turn the burners on low?…
@GrillTopExperience
Жыл бұрын
If you cook something really greasy and then crank all the burners on high, you have a much higher chance of a grease fire. Leaving it on low will burn it off slowly or help it find its way to the grease tray..

A KZitemr that hasn't posted much lately, Free To Cook, did that a bunch. It is possible, but if the pan overflows, you can't turn off the fire on a charcoal grill.

This could easily create a huge grease fire with that open flame
@GrillTopExperience
2 жыл бұрын
People use their gas stove to fry and that fire touches the bottom of the pan. That's why you use a high rimmed pan so it doesn't overflow.
