@@WillCutting-ms2wy get in touch with reality. Asking such a questions suggests you’re not in touch. (1) frozen is always less expensive than fresh. Not everyone has money to spend on fresh food, especially fruit. (2) frozen is easier to store, and by virtue of being frozen it will last longer.

Non-organic blueberries are also towards the top of the “dirty dozen” list in terms of amount of pesticides they contain. So buy organic and if you can’t afford, clean them well

I make smoothies 4-5x week. Put Org Spinach/Kale & Org Berries. Just made Wild Bluberry Buckwheat pancakes for our Christmas breakfast.

Smoothies are terrible for you. Fructose goes straight to liver fat. Same as alcohol. Whether its from high fructose corn syrup or fruit juice the fructose molecule is the same. Fruit is okay because the fiber slows the absorption.

@@Bob-ow4jueverything in life is risk vs benefit. Berries have benefit so for me they are worth eating. OTOH I eat them separately from smoothies because smoothies spikes the sugar you get from them. So I put greens, avocado, etc in smoothies and eat berries from a bowl.

eating fruit is fine, because of the fiber. people just need to understand that fruit smoothies are not fine and will lead to fatty liver disease, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer's, metabolic syndrome, etc. etc. it goes on. There is not one chemical reaction in your body that requires fructose. @@Scottlp2

Especially when they are frozen as they are collected when they are mature. Freezing does not kill any nutrients. Also there are wild frozen blueberries these are the best!

@@exhibitD79 “subjects consumed approximately 6 cups of whole blueberries over the course of 18 weeks.” Im not certain of the weight. Its definitely a fair amount, but it really only amounts to about 2 or 3 handfuls a day.

@@martymcfly6411 in terms of antioxidants and vitamins yes. But i still need carbs and protein. Everyone should get a healthy dose of greens from time to time. You dont really need to rely on something like blueberries id recommend them as a sweetener in smoothies that have greens.

Berries are good theyre fairly hypoallergenic. They're somewhat universal and you could really never eat enough of them. You should consider them in your diet or at least some really rough greens like collards or kale. It's good for everything bone and circulatory also digestion and to help lose weight. You could take vitamins sure, but the best thing is real food. Juicing and smoothies is a good way to go for carrots and greens. Throw some berries and apples for sugar and flavor. 👍

There’s too much info out there on diet. Too much conflicting info, to boot. Better off just using common sense and saving yourself a lot of time and hassle and misery (from constant research, worrying about what you’re going to eat and when, and starving yourself). Stay away from obvious junk foods, don’t pig out, and eat a little bit of everything and enjoy life. There ya go.
