Great review of the smart car! 🚙 The uniqueness and the fun factor outweigh the downsides for me! 😎

Thanks! It wasn’t much of a “review” and more of a opinion! 😂

I don't care my zuma 125 I can't go in the high way so 100mph is a go my scooter probably picks up speed quicker but after 50mph it gets up speed slow

Guess it all depends on the exhaust. My 2013 pops and gurgles and sounds so fun. Especially fun in the hills, like you said.

That’s awesome! I know the 2016+ models had turbos. Unfortunately, the generation I have they were NA.

Take a brabus and see if it is slow….mine 1000 71hp is not a beast but at the same time is not the slowest city car, it is funny to drive and fast for a city car…more than a 1.2 Fiat 500 with the same power!

Love my 2008 Cabrio. My convertible has had a couple of the slide hoops jam in the track. The MBZ garage wants 2 grand to fix. Have you had this problem and any advice on doing it myself.

I love mine too! My top stopped working as well. However, I was able to fix it with some lubricant on the rails. This fixed the issue! There are several helpful videos on KZitem. Hopefully that can fix it.

I am sorry to hear that, in the United Kingdom, if the council refuse to pay up we take them to court, it is the DUTY of every council to make sure that ALL roads in there county are fit to drive on. even in my own village, I complained about a large pothole at the end of my road, within a few days of them getting my email, the pothole was filled in and the road is now fit for all road traffic including my Smart Car. What is wrong with you, there is NOTHING wrong with a Smart Car, thousands have been sold in England and most are still running, I have a 2008 with 95000 miles on the clock and it goes extremely well, and I have spoken to people with the 1st generation and they are very happy with what they have, mine is 2nd generation and we use it almost daily, I took it onto what you people call the freeway and was happily cruising at almost 70 mph. The only problem with this generation is what we have in England called POT HOLES, this is where the British Government permit the roads to disintergrate so that huge holes appear in the tarmac, if a normal car hits one, not a problem, if a Smart Casr hits one, it can cause a spring to snap or a tyre to burst. The British Government don't care about this sort oh thing, in fact they are happy that it happened because it tends to slow the traffic flow. We Smart Car drivers have to be on our guard all the time when driving, in fact I have a nice little sign on the back windscreen of my Smart which says, I am not drunk, just avoiding pot holes. Apart from that, I love my Smart Car as does the wife, we are in our late 70s and as there are only two of us, this is the ideal car, plus the fact that in England, most cars stolen are 4 and 5 seasters, cars that young thugs can steal and joy ride in, but the Smart has only two seats, it cannot be hot wired, and its too slow to get away from any police car, mine has a top speed of 91, most police cars in the U.K have a top speed of 150mph. So as I say, if you don't like your Smart Car, then why did you buy it in the first place, its a car for shopping and for local runs, its designed to be parked in small spaces, it will do longer runs, but you just have to allow the car to do its own thing, not push it. I second that with the potholes. My beloved Forfour Brabus' wheels have been utterly battered by potholes over the years. Last December I hit one which was hidden in a deep puddle. The car started pulling to one side so I got out and saw both offside tyres were flat and on closer inspection could see the alloys dinged in several places. After getting the car back home said pothole had also bent the wishbone arm..a costly strike which was rejected when I put in a claim to the local council. When I owned my Brabus Roadster Coupé, again the poor roads buckled two wheels and damaged a tyre.

I haven't had any issues with mine. Something I've noticed over the years is the people who don't actually drive their cars tend to have more issues than the people who daily theirs. Its bizarre!
