Thanks for the video. One thing I wish Bridgeland had more of are trash cans along the walking trails. Lots of people walk dog. Convenient trash cans with bags would be ideal. Other than that, love the community.

A very strict HOA is a great thing for many, if not most, residents. Otherwise, you end up in a neighborhood like mine in Austin, where you pay close to a million for a home, and then you end up with multiple very trashy neighbors. My neighbors have banged up cars, weeds 2 feet tall, and peeling paint, yet everyone's home in the neighborhood is valued at close to a million. And it's a lot of property taxes to pay for living in such conditions. But...I toured Bridgeland last week and found it to be immaculate. I saw a couple of homes with yards that needed attention, but I'm guessing the HOAs are right on top of it. As they should be.

Best community outside of the Woodlands

My favorite is Harpers Preserve. Still zoned to The Woodlands schools, still close to all the shopping..but newer homes and amenities.

Bridgeland is nice, but be ready to pay higher property taxes and HOA. HOA is very strict.

This is the HOA that sued an elderly couple for $275K for feeding the ducks, and the husband has muscular dystrophy! The couple was forced to sell their home to cover legal fees, fines, etc. It's all over the internet about how bad the Bridgeland Cypress, TX HOA is. Imagine being in your 70's and losing your home because you fed the ducks! In one of the news videos on KZitem, they said people dumped baby ducks in the community pond and she felt sorry for them because they didn't have a mother to teach them how to feed themselves - so she stepped in and fed them corn because they were starving. So now since they were forced to move, the ducks have nobody to feed them. The news that covered this posted the Bridgeland, TX HOA rules - they are extremely strict. I remember seeing a limit of two cars per household, and they have to be parked inside the garage at night. That's crazy, what if you have kids? I'm looking for somewhere nice to build my home in the $3mil-$4mil range and I have a family member that is moving with me but building a home too in the $600K-$800K range - but there's no WAY we would ever live in a place that has an HOA like this.

Interesting video but you should have picked a different title for your video. I automatically assumed the video was going to be all negative.
