Great episode! I got PPF installed for less than $5k. I thought that was kinda the break even point. I would definitely put this over my PPF for long road trips mainly to save it from bugs 😂

I keep my cars a long time. PPF gives me peace of mind. Rock chips really bother me. Have had it for 6 years on my car and find it totally worth it

I use this on my road trips from Pa. To Colorado never an issue. I put on when I leave and remove when I arrive in about 4 days.. I pre- cut my strips and apply when I am heading home great product.

I bought a car with PPF already installed. Started lifting on edges and also started getting dirt on edges near the wheel wells. The only way to clean was to lift and clean edge. After lifting I could not put it back correctly. Ended up pulling it all off. Why someone gets this for that car is beyond me. It was a Camaro 2SS 1LE. I since traded car and have a 2023 Corvette HTC . I would not spend 5 to 10k on even that car.

I just looked online. In Australia, you need to have it install by a shop. Not worth it. I've put multiple layers of food wrap over the front of my Model 3. Looks weird, but works for a road trip.

Remember car bras? Removable and reusable and it’s leather!

Full front PPF. Protects where you need it doesn’t cost a ton. Now I may use this on my matte grill area that doesn’t have PPF and takes chips out driving backroads with buddies.

5:48 - And straight into landfill... I just don't understand why people are throwing money in the garbage for this stuff, put that ppf $$$$ into a 5% treasurydirect bond and use the interest to pay for paint corrections, ceramic, whatever and when it matures you can put that towards a new car

Tell me more about these bonds.

Mods never add value unless to the right private buyer....PPF counts as a mod unfortunately.

This product makes no sense to me. With it on the car looks worse than it will *ever* look from just driving it with no protection. The trade off just does not seem worth it to me. Cars are going to get damaged eventually, just drive it and have it look its best as much as you can. Making it look like absolute garbage with this nasty crap on the car just makes me wonder what's the point of having a car that looks awesome if you're gonna do this to it? Just buy some POS old car you don't care about if you're that worried about every little tiny rock chip or whatever.

Never looks as good as the day you bought it, it’s true but 5 years later the care I took in the first few years is noticeable
