Good job. Well prepared and good content. Hopefully it can be discovered by many ppl who want to transform their life with this kind of activity.

I like to say it is a long day of moving slowly. It is an exercise in moving forward, in not stopping. In commitment to the training. The hard part is doing a 3hr long run on Saturday morning when you are 3 months before the race, your partner is curled up next to you and your cat is sleeping between your knees. You get up, make your coffee and have a slice of toast. You look outside and it is pouring rain. That long run is the hard part. Race day is easy.... well until the last half of the marathon. I've hard the privilege of being hearing "You are an Ironman" 3 times. Forgive me, I have to get on my bike, and do a quick 1hr trainer ride.

Few men completed a full Ironman race and fewer still were able to push through discomfort to do it multiple times. So congrats on your three IM completed Richard. You said it well about that long run 3 month out. This is the toughest part, but this is also what turns our bodies into tough efficient machines. And once this is done and sustained, a single long day of suffering can be an amazing experience. Enjoy your next one Richard! I am sure you're not done with 3 :)

Appreciate the video! If I have to point out one thing you could improve, would be the sound. The audio could be better.

Thanks R.B.! I've experienced first-hand the stuff that I talked about this video, so it's all authentic. You're 100% right about the audio. This was my first video for the channel, so I didn't know what I was doing :) I've since improved that, so this will never again be an issue. At some point in the future, I will make another Ironman motivation video, and of course it will be even better than this! :D

Hey Peter, greetings from southern Spain - in minute 11 you are referring to your other videos on how to cope with discomfort 😃 Where can I find them ? Btw, phantastic mini series on why becoming an Ironman 👍 I am currently training for the 70.3 IM here in Marbella and I am suffering from uncertainty, hesitation and the „why“ 🤷♂️

Thanks a lot Juergen! The video on discomfort, plus other videos on very important topics, are on my to-do list for the next content. It's a work in progress, I launched this channel only 13 days ago, so it's coming. Way to go with your IM 70.3 goal! There are multitude of "whys", as you have seen in the video. My suggestion for you would be to make sure you train 80% of your time easy (Z2), so your training is both sustainable and enjoyable. It will produce results as well. Stick with it, and you will go far. Maybe IM 140.6 will be on your list next! :)

Thanks Issac! All of us are capable of great things, which are far above what we think possible. Just 18 months ago, I was 100% sure that there is no way I would ever be able to finish a full distance Ironman. As it turns out, we simply don't realize where our limits are, unless we try to push ourselves far beyond them.

That's awesome Issac. Triathlon is a wonderful journey. Ironman changed my life, so I was not exaggerating in this video. There's something exhilarating and transformative about the experience of crushing your personal limits, going beyond what you though was impossible. It opens your eyes. It makes you question how many other things in life only seem impossible, but once you go after them will full determination, they are perfectly attainable, just like your Ironman finish line. Good luck on your journey!

That was my very first video made for this channel. I've learnt my lesson. My audio equipment's been upgraded since that time.
