It's pretty simple, young men used to have to grow up to get a woman. It really was that simple. Now, with nearly all of young men addicted to porn and chilling in their parents basement with their videogames they have no reason to grow up anymore.

@Herozonex200 videogames can be deadly addicting, so I commend you on only playing casually. Sadly you are a minority of the young men out here. Most of these guys have no goals of ever leaving home and are perfectly happy where they are because they have everything they need.

. Historically men did not leave the family untill he was married and starting his own. To this day the majority's of countries including all spanish speaking countries men stay at home untill there married and having kids. It is bizarre that anyone thinks its a good idea for you to deliberate abandon your family so you can live alone and come home to an empty house. You need to educate yourself about history.

Speaking as an elder, your mother can be the biggest hindrance to stepping into manhood, I remember my mother attempting to still make my bed, and doing my laundry, calling me to make sure i didn't oversleep for school or work until I put an end to all of that. It saddens me to see so many young black men walking around directionless with no purpose.

This is isn't really talked about but there are some young men that came up like I did. I was born into a cesspool of familial dysfunction but I didn't realize this until my mid 20s. It's when I did some soul searching. Growing up, there was an intentional enmeshment between my grandparents and my mother. They didn't really allow for me to do much of anything. I couldn't even get a job at 16 or drive to help them out. I had to come straight home so, no extracurricular activities either. I literally grew up on TV and video games. Later, it was the internet. It was crazy so, I think it contributed to me becoming a NEET. I eventually did get a job in my early 20's and then put my brother on. He was a NEET for around 15 years. I had an aunt (since she's a girl it was a little different and people thought she was off...I think she had a mild learning disability) and she was a NEET her whole her adult life until she passed away in her early 50's.

I see this all the time and I agree. I'm not saying that I'm not guilty of consuming adult content (at times more than I should've) or redpill content (I try and be careful with what I follow and don't follow), but as a married 33 year old man I feel much better than most men yet I still have tons of work to do. I had to grow up quick at 18 mother passed and at 19 I was in the Marines. Didn't deploy to Afghanistan but I learned about avionics and then was posted to Africa, Europe and Asia to guard US Embassies. By 25 I was a civilian again and went to college and lived on my own. I already knew how to cook but I got better. I already knew how to dress but I leveled up exponentially (thank you AlphaM). By 27 I ended a relationship that almost turned into an engagement, and my dad had to move in with me because he fell on hard times. By 28 I received my degree and went on a govt contract to Australia for two years. By 30 I got married and by then lived in every continent, and started my own drone business. By far, I dont feel like I made it. Like most people I struggle financially and have made many mistakes (wasted time, drank a lot, wasted money on dumb things, didn't prepare properly). Many times I feel like a failure for not having a steady career or for not having a near six-figure income. But I've also learned to forgive myself and instead of feeling shame or pity for myself, to pull my pants up and move on. No one owes me anything. Only I can make that change. I see so many men my age who can't even put a suit and tie together, can't fix themselves a meal, can't articulate themselves properly, can't even give a firm handshake, and forget about being attractive to women. Gents, we all got work to do. Hafeez you are the man! I appreciate your content! You are honestly an inspiration.

Honestly, is there really a good reason for men to pursue and attract women anymore these days? I think men are much happier when they are single and not getting involved with the pointless drama that comes with the dating minefield. I also think that men shouldn't be shamed for wanting to remain single, it doesn't make them any less of a man.

only thing i rely on my parents for is being able to live in their house i handle all my own expenses except for health insurance cuz im 23 and im on my dads family plan. and my mom doesnt' mind me living at home saying she likes spending time with me. I am saving up to move out and buy a house tho which my parents are supportive of tho because they want me to set myself up for success financially and they don't believe in renting. but they also don't baby me about it either. my youngest bro they baby a lot but not me. my parents are also aware its a lot harder to move out nowadays then it used to be because adjusted for inflation i make about the exact same as my dad did at 25 (when he had me) and he moved out at 23 (which is how old i currently am) so i'm marginally better off then my dad was at my age income wise, im way way ahead of him in terms of saving and investments cuz i have 40k+ in cash and almost 3k between 401k and roth and counting. yet im still not there yet for moving out. the goal is for 70k to move out. 50k down (20% on a small townhouse) 10k for furniture and 10k for emergencies. because an emergency could happen day 1 of moving out i have to be pepared for the worst. my dad had the same income when he had me as i do now (adjusted for inflation) and i don't even have my own place yet let alone afford a kid

I've definitely regressed into some old childhood ways since she moved in with me. She cooks for me, even when I'd rather her not, and I've come home to find she has cleaned my room. Relocated across 4 different states. Hit 6 figures in the corporate worked by 24 and now at 29 I have a beautiful traditional wife, An amazing daughter and my parents and family are 2500 miles away. I love my parents but I found a great life in Texas and I'm happy here. Al of my childhood friends still live within a 20 mile radius of our high school. Bunch of pot smoking losers why play 2K all day. I see nothing wrong with video games. I have a series x, but between work and family I doubt I get a solid 5 hours a month.
