If you are struggling with your autistic child or teen, then my book 'An Autistic Perspective on: Parenting Autistic Children & Teens' may be able to help. It shares my 25 years of knowledge working with autistic children and teens and their families (from supporting dozens of children and teens in residential children's homes, including helping to set up a therapeutic children's home, to working directly with over 1000 parents and families at a social care level, both through 1-1 support and through teaching successful & effective parenting groups), as well as my own personal insights and perspectives as an autistic individual: amzn.to/44iVYa6 (available in paperback and Kindle eBook)
View #anger from the perspective of #autism. Learn about how people rarely have 'anger problems' but fight/flight/freeze problems where their natural innate survival response is being triggered leading to black-and-white thinking and responding to escape that threat or pain.
For those who don't know me who are watching this, I am autistic but I also have spent most of my working career since 1997 working in children's homes and for the local authority offering parenting and family support at a social services level to address youth crime, antisocial behaviour, anger, other emotional issues, child/teen to parent domestic abuse/violence and parenting issues and managing teams of family workers, etc.
You can learn more about autism, including getting into the autistic mind and autism tips and strategies in my autism books like my autobiography 'Look Into My Eyes' (available here on the Amazon websites: hyperurl.co/q3oeew)
