my bow hold is a mixture of 3 different styles. for classical influence i use a 'franco-belgian' hold..many americans use this ..itzhak perlman, probably the hold's best player...but i also use fiddle hold which i why i scoot my hand up just a little bit ..also a little big of romanian gypsy and celtic as well...someone in classical might see this as untrained..but i have spent much time developing my hand for the sound that i want.oh, before i forget.thank you for sharing a bit of your story :)

I mostly played classical. You ad a style the only seems undisciplined, in my opinion it is not only unique but its just great as any classical concerto but could be added to any Philharmonic and sound just as wonderful. Keep ip the good work.

Saw him perform live at a Michael Jackson tribute. He's an amazing violinist and and amazing performer at the same time. He puts his sole into the music. He interacts with the audience. He can even dance while performing. Traditional classical artists never innovate. Patrick Contreras can do classical and so much more. By far the violinist I've ever heard play in my 40 years alive
