Sir, if you meant the white blocks, those are styrofoam blocks glued to the original flares using white glue. I used 2" thick styrofoam to act as lightweight filler/spacer. I covered them with masking tape before applying fiberglass and polymer filler.

Ya this is absolutley awesome...but...that's meant for fiberglassing..not for driving around with it on. You're supposed to build a mold out of those flares that are on the truck and the fiberglass the flares from those molds. That would be a way better gig than foam and bondo and you wouldn't have to be so gentle with it.
@dsmchick935
5 жыл бұрын
How do you build the molding from that? I thought that was weird didn't he put tape over the phone pieces? Okay so that should be what he's pulling his mold from right can you put the molded agent and the fiberglass on top of that? I really want to learn so many videos are not helping me

Saw another method similar to this but with greater detail. They used expanding foam onto of the styrofoam template and bondo to cure harden it all.
@PorscheMonster

Great sculpting job! Is that body filler (Bondo) over styrofoam and masking tape? Not sure that I would use those materials for the final part; however, it looks like this technique would be great for creating plugs and subsequently female molds for the final fiberglass parts.

@MrRichstitch Hindi naman po, sir. Mas mabigat yung ginawa ko na steel bumper. Installed a performance chip so better pa than stock yung arangkada ng sasakyan inspite of the added weight ng mga mods like the steel bumper, winch, bigger tires, roll bar, utility box, and the wider fender flares.

@Abaz3l

you should have copied those from fiberglass, straighten them with multiple layers then paint them. it's a fragile thing what you did there. aaand surely there were vapours of paint all over the car.. it's 1$ a foil to cover it. ;)
