Let’s clear something up - Jay may have died from an overdose of Fentanyl, but it was a leaky patch that killed him. The man did not have health insurance at the time of his death and he had a bad hip from years of rocking. Have you watched the Jay Bennett documentary? It is called Where Are You Jay Bennett? And it is a phenomenal yet sad piece about a brilliant musician and person. I had the opportunity to meet him in Iowa City on one of his solo tours with Death Ships around 2007 and he was a kind and humble dude.
