Join me in Greece at Lake Kerkini for a behind the scenes look at wildlife & bird photography as I try to photograph Flamingos at sunrise from my hide on the shores of the lake... sorry this is a bit of a long one but I hope you find it worth staying till the end.
The flamingos are just one of many bird species that over winter on the Lake but are definitely one of the most beautiful and definitely vocal of all winter visitors here.. In the early morning they like to feed in the shallows of the western shoreline of the lake and as the sun rises behind them the opportunities for creating beautiful landscape/wildlife images with stunning silhouettes against the rising sun are hard to resist for any wildlife photographer. On this particular morning the weather didn't play ball and the sky was socked in by low lying clouds.. nevertheless opportunities for some lovely photos still came along in the diffuse milky light of a cloudy day at Lake Kerkini.
