Chasing the least worst forecast, me and my dad @overthehillwildcamper headed to the North Yorkshire Moors for a wild camp at Skelton Tower. A ruined 2 storey hunting lodge built by the late Reverend Skelton around 1830.
We parked the car at Saltergate car park on the A169, we then set off on the 3 mile hike for Skelton Tower passing the Hole of Horcum on route.
Once there I pitched my SilPoly MLD Trailstar and my Dad pitched his Durston Gear X-Mid 2p.
I then cooked a Spanish sausage and butter bean casserole on my Trangia 25.
A beautiful and atmospheric location for a wild camp.
I hope you enjoy. 👍
