Hey there, Thanks for every hunt you've posted, it really helped me to get a better grasp on how i can use the nodachi. These are very instructive and I want to thank for posted them. Keep on keeping on.

Really great gameplay! I over use triple stack boxes, so I overcommit and get punished. The way you use single boxes is inspirational, so much value from just 1 thread

Have you ever thought about doing a walk through on how you use nodachi? I think it’d be interesting to kinda see your thought process

Sorry, don't think I'll ever make a vid for that. I can however give some tips for you: Nodachi isn't that complicated specially now after buffs, the weapon (atleast how I see it) is just constant crate/spring spam for quick gauge charges. For beginners with the weapon spring spam is the easiest to get the hang of as it offers mobility while charging and can be used as a dodge/ option. Crate/Box spam on the other hand is a bit more on the commitment side, it does deal more damage and builds up gauge better but you don't have the safety of movement/ with it. So in short spring charge is safer and easier to use, Crate is full commitment (which is where recognizing clear kemono openings comes into play). Do keep in mind, Nodachi being this katakuri dependent means that thread management is also important as Nodachi eats them up fairly fast. To make matters worse Nodachi has a hard time recovering threads back even if you're fairly on the offense with it, the only two moves that reliably recover 1 thread back is both mid gauge charge atk and full charge atk. So this means if you're a player that makes constant use of fusion katakuris you might find yourself running out of threads quite fast. Nodachi also is prob the second weapon with the hardest Stamina management in the game (first being the bow). So you def want to invest in stamina skills. Keep in mind using katakuri moves does recover some stamina even if you're charging gauge. So p much Nodachi is a weapon that demands the player to have a good grasp on monster behavior and good usage from any source (katakuri cancel, spring, rolling, etc.). This honestly goes for every weapon but it's particularly important for Nodachi.

Head is the weakest part of lavaback/variants. You'll do a lot more damage to it than other parts, unfortunately generally really hard to reach unless you have precise positioning or it's knocked down

It's a kinda tight window ngl, somewhat perfectly timed if you get clap stunned tho...unless you mean rage explosion in which case it's just a timing mater
