I think the kitty was waiting for a big tom. LOL It's nice to see some wildlife after such a long winter. Looks like you still have some snow to melt.

@@MinnesotaBeekeeper Well of course you have Mike. We have geese that fly right over our property in migration, I have had the same thoughts.😂Stock up twice a year.

They are fun to watch aren't they? The flocks that surround here are so darn calm... Glad you enjoyed it!

We haven't seen any turkeys yet this year. We've got a male pheasant in our woods. We also saw 47 deer driving five miles from our town meeting last night. Cheers!

47 deer? That's great. How are your bees doing?

@@MinnesotaBeekeeper No bees yet. I've got some of the pieces for a hive. I'm planting all sorts of native flowers and grasses this spring. I need to get the infrastructure in place this year and maybe bees next year. Working on an orchard too this year. Lots to do to set up the success of the bees next year! I'm sure I'll be reaching out with lots of questions!

Very nice Mike! Your cats like "If only Mike would feed me enough to make me just a little bigger....Then I could take one of those birds down"

Lol. Funny thing is the cats and even the half-dozen squirrels get along famously. Thanks Tex. By the way your splits are really interesting!

They are scratching up the melted out southern slopes under the oak trees around here in NH. I suspect they are after acorns and bugs. Toms are getting randy. Thanks for sharing

Good stuff Mike. Was working on a remodel north of where I live. One morning probably 20 hens and a Tom came walking through the yard. Pretty cool and fun to watch.

Wonderful! I'm guessing that the tom was a young one waiting down in the marsh. But I thought it odd I didn't see it. Thanks.
