The Wildboar Clough scramble is graded as a 2/3, mainly due to the crux of the route - the waterfall.
There’s two main rock walls, the first is at 8:32 in the video and the second (the waterfall) is at 10:15. For the waterfall I chose to take a route through the water and up the right hand side. This wasn’t a very clever idea as I’d underestimated just how much water was falling, the pressure of it and it’s low temperature. Once through the water I then encountered extremely slippy rocks (surprise surprise!) and a lack of handholds. I definitely let out a huge sigh of relief once at the top. We then descended down the left hand side to ascend again and show via video just how much safer that passage is.
I’m not sure what it’s like in summer but from today’s experience I can tell you’ll get very wet!
