Dancing cranes throw some moves on the WWT Slimbridge Reserve
It is not only humans who are throwing some crazy dancing moves this festive period, check out the common cranes on the WWT Slimbridge Reserve.
This week we see two Common Cranes which have quite a thing for each other and are not afraid to show it.
This footage of them dancing together was captured this week on the Reserve by warden James Lees.
There are high hopes that the cranes Monty and Chris might successfully breed next year, so it is promising to see they are already getting in the mood.
Elsewhere on the Reserve wader numbers continue to increase with high numbers of lapwing, golden plover and black-tailed godwits and we visit the Rushy Lake to see the Bewick's swans.
We will be back with Wildlife Weekly in the New Year. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas from the team at WWT Slimbridge.
