I'm a fellow Iowan, and also an owner/operator of a small fleet of rolling garbage that once identified as automobiles. Out in the boonies where most of his filming is done you're not gonna get pulled over and bothered for much of anything... You'll likely not even come across the single highway patrol officer who's out patrolling that particular 50 square miles. They're typically hiding behind a tree row or a sign somewhere with their radar gun, and they could care less what rolls by just as long as its rolling by at a speed close enough to the limit. Some of larger towns they get a little more uppity about tint on the front windows, a busted windshield, exhaust noise, etc etc, but they're typically secondary offenses they tack on if they've already pulled you over for speeding or driving like a moron.

Love these videos. Back when I was young I did the same thing on a limited basis just to have a car to drive. 1953 Ford, 1952 Hudson Hornet, 1967 Austin 1100, 1953 Pontiac... Wasn't so much for fun as it was a necessity, though. I was too poor to buy a decent car... Now, just to clarify a little, not to criticize; the Nova was a name given to the Chevy II in 1962 or thereabouts, and at that time it was NOT an acronym. The Omega (Olds), Ventura (the Pontiac version of the Nova, not the full-sized Pontiac which existed for a long time) and Apollo (Buick) weren't even produced until 1973. They were named the way they were to be clever with the name Nova, which existed long before they did. So Nova BECAME an acronym, but it didn't start out as one. Also, Nova, doesn't mean "doesn't go" in Spanish. " No va" does, sort of, but it's two words--"no" meaning "no" OR "doesn't in Spanish, "va" is the irregular conjugation of the verb "ir" which means to go. In Spanish the word Nova means Nova, like in an exploding star, just as it does in English. Also, the Nova sold fine in Spanish speaking countries. The story of it not selling well is an urban legend not supported by the facts. In any case, keep up the good work on rescuing these old cars.

Not sure you could reasonably do that. You'd still flip at cost with how much it needs. When you brought it through the wood walls inside the barn... as she rolled through the door, All I could think of was Christine.... That should of been her name. Nice work, was waiting and hoping to see the post car wash shot.

Those stick on digital clocks were really popular in the 80s. Sold them in every color and 90% of the cars back then had them stuck to the dash

The old analog clocks we had in our cars back then weren't the most accurate, if we had one. The VW Beetle I drove in high school in the early 80's didn't have a clock or a fancy tape deck with a digital clock.

@@RandomGuyDan My cars in the mid 80s were always early 70s cars I could pick up for $400. Most had a space for a clock but no hands. (base model car) or hands that stopped turning years before I got it. I hear the factory clocks back then were good for a year or two.

Big thumbs up! 👍
