Ai will definitely replace some jobs but not all, instead it will help us with our jobs and make us more efficient. Adding on to this ai will probably create millions of jobs as well in the future. Not just ai, but other factors will also create new jobs such as the hydrogen power sector which will probably create around 30 million jobs by 2050.

this guys dont criticize the market at all. It wont make people's lives easier... it will make the baseline required more complex and more saturated. Under any capitalist system this tech is a nightmare for no one can compete with the scale generated from neural networks. "Oh but you have acess to it too" if that much automation are generation by end users and newly emerging companies then every interaction on the web will become impossible to identify if there is anything human at all. Too saturated with noise and sludge, a web with way more bots than people. The market cannot thrive if it becomes that crowded. It will be yet another example of the self scrutining and hollowing people will force into their lives with the feign hope of "making it" or "keeping it up"; whilst the window of human subjectivity becomes smaller and smaller. If we normalize the outsourcing of imagination and creativity (and it will be if nothing is done) then we may need to redefine what "progress" means. Bad actors are the lead actors in the current system. The rat race contaminates even those not willing to participate in these dependencies. "Adapt or die", well, it'll be impossible to adapt, so we'll die.

If AI is going to disrupt people's job then, purchasing power of people is going to decrease and because of that those same business who integrated AI, will have "less" people to sell their services. So more job creation seems a probability

@@maximilianmander2471 Then individual cyborg will learn/earn for individual person and that person will simply rest and sustain on universal basic income which that cyborg will make for that person. Hi Varun, I am in a full time auditing & accounting job, working with one of the top companies. Thinking since long to take time off from the job and just focus on the learning programming> AI & ML. Dedicate 2-3 years of learning from scratch, reading books, participate in events - as that's the future and then create an automation AI Auditing solution. Is it worth? Or just learn and dedicate 1/2 Hours a day + few hours on weekend and take it slowly?

The argument that there will be new jobs, because a similar thing has happened in the past with the advent of machines, is a very lazy argument. First of all, it is not exactly the same thing. There are many distinctions between then and now. People should try to dig deeper into understanding the implications rather than using the popular lazy talking points. I understand the allure of the lazy arguments, its easy for the audience to connect to, rather than choosing a cognitively taxing task of understanding things as they are, with all the nuances.

8:13 the problem with this is its how it supposed to work but it doesn't work like this. lets say a new ai tech reduces the time for employees to do something by half, instead of all of those employees having more time to do better stuff and enjoy life more what happens is the company sacks half of them employees making them jobless and in turn increasing the top 1% 's profits even more. the wealth gap that is already insane is the issue, not the ai tech itself

I don't agree with the optimist in this video. He says "AI will create more jobs for humans than before", but this statement fails if AI can do everything that a human can do if not more. Because those new jobs can very well be given to AI again if it's equivalent to humans. The only jobs that humans can do are the ones that AI would not be allowed to do. For eg. something like "Monitor the AI", you wouldn't trust an AI to monitor another AI. But I believe these jobs will be a minority.

If AI would take majority of jobs, on the macroeconomic level it will result in a disaster. Say a company fires 90% of employees because of AI and other companies too are going with similar trend. This will result in mass unemployment. People will work on daily wages. Mass unemployment -> Decrease in demand of the services like restaurants, local shop owners, and all other services that middle class uses Decrease in services -> Decrease in manufacturing. Say you were using an iPhone before but due to job loss you use a simple phone or maybe a Nokia. Likewise, everything will be disrupted. And this won't happen. Businessmen are smart. They know if the people of the nation get poor, they are eventually going to be poorer too.
