My biggest requests for Force 2: - Increased audio and plug-in track limit - Plug-in preset per clip instead of per track - 4 inputs instead of two - Tilt screen - MPE pads - Move transport controls to the bottom

Stronger CPU (not that ancient RK3228 chipset from 2014!) and more RAM please. And a more horizontal layout in general would be nice, aka Live 1/2. More ergonomic.

Interested to see what Akai will do! Would love to see some new generative features and workflow enchantments, have used a few sequencers like the Oxi One, and they have some really cool stuff that would be great on the Force

Interesting predictions. I have started exploring the IAMFORCE and HAKAI firmware for my little MPC One and now I get why the Force is such an impressive instrument. Now that I have clip launching on my MPC One it's hard for me to go back. Hopefully existing owners of the MPC platform will get this as an official enhancement because it's that good.

Yep I agree, I think there’s probably a sizeable group who will never want to leave the old MPC way, and Akai won’t want to abandon them, that’s why I think we might end up with an either-or hybrid!

Personally,Maxipok,I think you are absolutely bang on the button in regards to the merging of the two work flows ,FORCE/MPC as it makes perfect sense having both platforms under the one umbrella with the same shared O.S as it would most certainly make life so much easier and efficient for developers and Akai when releasing new firmware instead of working on two different platforms!! I would also like to put my neck on the line as i feel Maxipok has called this one correct!,,but in addition to what he has said i reckon there will indeed be new hardware heading our way for sure in 2025,and what will come will be a 'Hybrid' of both Force and Mpc together in a one box system ,very similar, albeit slightly larger than the MPC X with the same the same 64 pad layout as Force and also the same dedicated Mpc pad layout too,i reckon there will also be a Larger touch screen similar to the X,,,and also a brand new O,S featuring an improved 'Hybrid' workflow!. Just look at the road Ableton are taking with Push 3 and it''s 'user upgrade path',,,i personally think that Akai will be taking a long serious look at this for sure and i believe that they will indeed be taking both the Force/ Mpc community down the same path moving forward with all future releases of new hardware. The 'user hardware upgrades'' path is a no brainer for Akai and a choice for the community too in regards to upgrading. Hate me or slate me,,it's just my thoughts and opinion 👍

The MPF coming soon! Don't forget the part about Akai learning from them hacked OS versions on how to put things together.

Akai needs to kill off that old redundant MPC workflow. The track-sequence-program structure is so old and convoluted, only diehard users praise it, and simply will not accept change. Akai needs to drop that user-base and push forward with the Force. 3 years ago in the MPC forums I asked Dan Gill himself what the future was for the MPC and Force and he replied that Akai was in fact merging the MPC with the Force in terms of workflow, but they have been beating the dead horse with the MPC ever since, catering to a dying clan of loyal MPC users. Ffs Akai get on with the Force allready, it will stand to last ALOT further into the future than this long-in-the-tooth MPC ever will.....

Yep I agree. Also think a lot of those die hard MPC ‘old way’ users make hip-hop and beats, and Akai are a bit afraid of upsetting them and they also don’t really know how to market to the wider electronic music community because they’ve never done it before. Force is 100% perfect for techno and edm but Akai never speak to those producers!

@@MaxipokMusic it's also perfect for dub, ambient, synthwave, e-jazz ... Their marketing seriously limits public perception of this thing. Also yeah MPC OS 4 will merge all features between MPC and Force. I'm looking forward to macros on MPC One, I just use it as a standalone synthesizer for playing sounds I design on the Force from my Hammond.

@@suitandtieguy Yep, they need to hire a Force brand ambassador 🙋♂️! That be will so cool, I really like the form factor of the MPC One so I’d definitely pick one up if Force functionality comes to it.

There are only 2 things I want, one is for the MPC to get disk streaming, much like how it currently is possible with HAKAI. The second is for a unified OS (For the Force, an MPC workflow option and max # of tracks increase like the MPC, for the MPC, a Force workflow option and scene launching like the Force) but most importantly, WITH the ability to navigate MPC sequence or Force scene via MIDI Program Change messages. That has to be added/retained if not my live sets are no longer possible (hands free navigation of song parts because my hands are preoccupied)

Or possibly they could be working on a Force style software for computers. And that would definitely give Ableton some real competition.

I highly doubt this due to the non-compete that was signed when akai made the first push with and for Ableton; I am not sure that contract has ended yet.

@Maxipok do you have any information on the issue that phantom power x XLR causes the Force output sound to break and just glitch. Do you know anything about it?
@MaxipokMusic
9 ай бұрын
If you connect / disconnect XLR cables with phantom power switched on, it’s possible to blow the output board. If you are still in warranty you might be able to send it in to Akai for repair, otherwise your best option is to use a usb audio interface instead.

If the MPC got an external MPE controller (like the NI JAM), and the new software version of MPC got clip-launching (aka force) that would be rad. Hopefully the pads would be launchpad sized (or smaller like linnstrument) as the push3 pads are too big to play chords chromatically.. My other wishes are more time-stretching methods like abelton-live, and disk streaming.

converters????? if you watch the video with the red mpc about stems you will see a new mpc. the one in the cid is neither the one or live 2. i hope Akai makes a pro version of their mpc with quality converters

Outdated or not, I'm pretty sure Akai won't kill off the legacy Sequences structure on the MPC. And I can live with that as long as they add a functional form of linear arrangement. It's probably the most requested feature and I consider that even more important for the MPC than clip launching. And that's coming from an Ableton fan who loves Session View.

I don't trust them anymore due to the issues with the Force like the teeny tiny bug where they updated the firmware and the 4 Audio interfaces I have that previously worked with it stopped working. I invested in Bitwig & never looked back. The force is a paperweight now, it can't even be used as a controller like the push 2.
