Apple is finally making its big AI move, with a deal with OpenAI that will build ChatGPT into Siri for new iPhones, iPads and Macs. Apple said its AI features will "carry out actions between apps, as well as manage notifications, automatically write things for you, and summarise text in mail and other apps". Some of the new features will work locally on the device itself, while more complicated ones will send a user's request to the cloud. The company says those servers will be well protected, and users' data won't be kept. Meanwhile, Elon Musk has threatened to ban iPhones at his companies. Wall Street tech analyst Dan Ives from Wedbush Securities says the deal between Apple and OpenAl is a" revolutionary" deal and it's the start of a partnership that is going to get stronger in the coming years.
