The thing I want to say is that with the Arena update I'm actually back playing Tarkov. I just don't have the time or want to deal with the massive grind of leveling up to 15 within Tarkov. The fact that I can do that in Arena and start working on my hideout has made all the difference. Now that I can just spend some time throughout the week to gain money I can run a few raids without stressing too much because I know I can just play matches in Arena. Am I rich in Tarkov? No actually, I spend everything that I get from Arena really quickly. TLDR: I as a casual can actually play Tarkov while enjoying myself and I don't have to sacrifice my life in order to do so.

Arena changed my entire tarkov experience. It gets you better at PVP, recognizing audio cues, and gets you comfortable with different play styles. Dying a lot? Try something else, it’s not like you’re going to lose it. And the added bonus of being able to level your main tarkov character in the process. I feel like this is a win all the way around. I’m several wipes into playing this game with my friends who are Tark vets. I work a 9-5 job, I simply never had the time to level up in the game in a reasonable timeframe. And when I tried I often needed to avoid PvP because for the most part the gear I was running just wasn’t good enough to justify actively engaging people and expecting to win, Aside from some fringe moments I might have gotten the drop on someone. arena has honestly helped me progress this wipe faster than I ever have. And my progress feels more meaningful. Before it felt pointless because I knew I would never have enough time to make meaningful progress by the end of wipe. This wipe Is still a grind but it feels more realistic and doable for someone like me. I’m level 33, traders level 3, bitcoin farm running, hideout almost maxed. And I feel more confident approaching PVP knowing my gear is more on par with others. Arena is encouraging to people who enjoy the game but don’t have as much time for the painfully long grind it used to be.

Early wipe struggle is only for those like me who don't have much time to game. I've got young kids to take care of and a job. Streamers, sweats/no lifers, and hackers all have a much easier time. They blast through the quests have loot routes dialed perfectly. I've played for years and have gained a lot of the same edge. But not like the ladder. These same people stop doing progression runs and start maining pvp. With better traders, better skills, and more money, they dominate players like me by contesting quest zones and loot zones. So it becomes a slippery slope rapidly. I've played 6 wipes and it's become much easier, but it's also burning me out. Arena has brought me back into the fold. I'm mostly in it for the pvp anyway, and I'm quite good at it.

Playing some of the CS GO maps in Arena sounds cool at first, but the gameplay between the games is just too different. Most of the CS maps would be unbearably defender sided because the "CT's" would lock down the choke points with tight lean peaks. Peaking as an attacker would be hard because of the scope sway when moving, aimpunch, blur, and the suppression effect. Trading teammates on a push would also be harder because the guns in tarkov are much easier to control than in CS. Utility like smokes and flashes are far less consistent in tarkov than in CS, so that wouldn't help either. Office might play well just because the fights are much more close quarters and there aren't a million boxes to right lean peak from as a defender.

Honestly, I have to say I love it. The idea of having one character across different games really appeals to me because it creates a sense of a larger universe, rather than just individual games. It might be a bit of a stretch, but it's similar to why people are so into the Marvel universe-when you're watching Daredevil, you know what's happening could impact The Punisher, and that's awesome. It adds a level of immersion. Also, I struggle with a lot of "gear fear," which makes it tough to fully enjoy Tarkov. For some players, the early wipe experience, (having to use cheap, off-meta kits), is all they ever get to experience due to either skill or time constraints. The Arena link has totally changed that, giving the more casual players a way to keep up with the pack. One thing i haven't seen anyone talk about is how this could keep players engaged in a wipe for longer. I think this could encourage more of the casual players, who would normally drop out of the wipe due to being outclassed by gear, to stick around.

Well I dunno, considering I keep getting cooked every raid by guys with 10+ K/D's, Arena is really helping me not be destitute... The thing is, once you start getting fence rep high and get multiple Intel Center upgrades, scav runs are kinda' busted since you can repeat them one after another and amass millions. Not as possible when you're waiting nearly 30 mins per run, and that's IF you live. Actually, that still might be more profitable than Arena since you'll likely lose 50% of matches unless you have a coordinated team, but it does break up the grind and I quite like that.

I bought Tarkov last wipe in April and after getting to about level 12 I believe and doing a few quests, I quickly stopped playing Live Tarkov and switched over to SPT, which I have been playing a good bit, and when Tarkov wiped, I didn't immediately join as I thought it wouldn't be much different where I just get shit on by Unheard and EOD sweats (keep in mind I am a standard player so its even harder for me). I started about a week ago at the time of writing this and got to level 8, then I bought Arena, and my whole world has changed and I am really enjoying live now because of it. Arena allowed me to unlock the flea market, has helped me a ton with my PVP skills, and is just very fun in general. As of now I am level 20 with lvl1 traders (that is one downside to arena, but it balances it out), with peacekeeper and ragman at level 2, and have been having a lot of fun in live. I think Arena is a good addition to tarkov because it allows casual players or people like me who don't have much time to play every day, but they still have to do things in live (questing for trader rep) to progress, but just makes it a lot easier.

I agree with almost all of this video. I think there’s some great points and suggestions. The only thing I disagree with is that there should be more of an early wipe feeling at the beginning. The problem with the presets wasn’t that they were bad at the beginning, but the way you were locked into a certain path and that was it. That part has been eliminated, the early wipe quality fights are actually really fun. There’s no progression for ammo. For armor and weapon attachments it’s just level based. It would be fun if there were arena quests that unlocked stuff or some other way of progressing.

I have played mostly Arena since wipe and it is a night and day difference since launch. Personally I don’t think the effect of arena is the biggest reason for the ballooned economy right now ow I think the non FIR flea is probably the biggest part of that if I had to guess. That combined with more and more players getting more and more experience in the game and progressing faster and faster. That in turn means people are on to more maps and farming money off those maps. When everyone is still on customs or woods que times are longer and there is more PvP on those maps slowing progression and if you don’t survive you made very little money before. But once people progress to having quests on all the maps which isn’t even days or a week anymore but rather hours in a lot of cases then the que times go down so more raids ran and less full lobbies and more money extracted from raids. You combine that with being able to make money even on death and then sprinkle in the money from arena and you have money everywhere. I don’t even know if that is a terrible thing anymore. I would have told you a year ago that it was the worst thing for tarkov but like most things once you experience the thing it changes your perception of it. It is a different game than the one I think I would like to try but in giving us more choice and ways to play with an inflated economy it has been a fun time.

I figure with tarkovs verity of weapon attachments and gear in general, you could get some really fun kits for that game mode.

Honestly, the economy in Tarkov has always been funky at best, just started the video so watching as I write this (Hi Pizzaman) but like we should just let the economy in Tarkov be and if something gets too cheap (oh noooo~~~~) how much will that actually affect anything? It just makes stuff easier to get if everyone is making bank off arena and taking it to base Tarkov, if this was a real life thing with the money printer going BRRRRRRR then I can understand the worry, but seeing as it’s just Tarkov it’s meh, plus it will in theory ruin the prices for people trying to do RMT since everything will be cheap and accessible enough due to the arena money going around that it might cause em an issue. Anyway, I shall now go back to dwelling in my dark humid basement, until next time! Ps. If you bought arena, you might as well get a reason to, if you didn’t want to buy it then and haven’t now you’re kinda just crippling yourself, it has been a thing about the link between them for ages, if you didn’t wanna get it at any point more power to you but don’t nerf it for those who actually stuck it out with arena

I think you should have to accumulate the level 15 xp amount IN tarkov to unlock flee. The amount of level 25+ players that had never played a raid was getting annoying and trying to find someone to play with was impossible since everyone was "level 23 and pretty good at tarkov (they played arena for 20 hours)" when really they're a level 1 *hitter that doesnt know how to heal

I played alot before the preset changes and ive played alot now. I enjoy all the game modes, but i mostly main the last hero bc im either solo or playing with 1-2 friends. Im a pretty good player and with arena i dont think ive ever gotten below 1 mil. i think its giving too much loot and xp. if im having a bad day of questing and losing a bunch of rubles it doesn't matter bc i can just send 1.5 mil over. its already very easy to get rubles imo so i think it doesnt hurt to keep it. casuals are probably loving this.

You KZitemrs/streamers don’t realize how much the arena update has helped the average player who HAS A JOB AND DOESNT HAVE HOURS TO SINK INTO A GAME TO SLIGHTLY COMPETE WITH THE TRYHARDS. This has leveled the playing field, the tryhards don’t get to shit on everyone as easily because casuals can access money and gear faster, might suck for you guys but for the average player this has been great.

The desync on arena has been almost unplayable for me all week. Getting killed around corners, dumping mags with no kill, visible blood splats appearing when the kill feed says I didn't land a hit. Thats in US East, has it been the same on other servers?

They should do the Swat game mode from Halo where everybody has long range rifles and body shots do little damage but headshots are instakill, but it would probabky have to be respawn to be fun, but yeah.

Anyone know for sure that the trader rollback bug is finally fixed? I haven’t touched arena since that happened because I don’t want to redo a bunch of quests again. Arena def helped me with base tarkov in a big way. I win more PvP encounters and it practically erased any gear fear I had left.

I played some arena today, and granted im not the best however, unless you are a high end player I dont see how it can be more money/hour then just looting and scav running. I think it just gives another way to make money.

If they want longer "early Wipe" feelings, they can close the Flea Market in the first 4 Weeks. Then its not important what kind of Level you have. To reach LV15 with Arena is nothing, you make one Weekly, three Dailys und get double XP Bonus. Thats a lot of XP for the Main-Game. And at the end of the Day, if more Money by the Players the Prices at Flea getting higher.

I think Arena having shared xp is fine... But I feel like it either needs to be free2play so that its not a massive advantage for people with EOD/Unheard, or it needs to be nerfed a bit so it gives, maybe 50% of the xp/skills it does now? The money is a whole different argument to make because you can make a lot of money doing loot runs, but you do make a pretty decent amount, especially early wipe.

It would be it it wasn't such a laggy mess man. Playing on 30 ping ~80 fps and people just teleport on my screen, last hero would be so much fun if it worked properly, and if it had infinite ammo ( once you reload, the mag thst gets taken out gets refilled with whatever default ammo they want for that calibre). I'm running 3 30 rounders and i just run out of bullets

BSG has added so much value into playing Arena that they've inadvertently cheapened the experience of the main game even more. The base game may as well be a $50 "lite" version of the Tarkov experience.

I wish we could disabale XP, skill and money transfer. I dont want Arena affecting my Tarkov. Its two separate games and i like them separate. A few thoughts: - If people play Arena only for money, XP dailies ect. Then there is a lot of problems with the game. yet. They are not here for the game. They are here to do chores. - Money transfer needs to be town down or gone completely. Same with XP. It ruins one of the things i value in Tarkov - Progression and value of your gear. - Same with no FiR flea. Reselling from traders needs to go. I like that you can sell gear from PvP, but resseling from traders needs to go.

Could use two different modes at least. Current gear style and one where you import your PMC loadout and everyones uses their PMC gear without risk of losing it (Which is what I originally thought it would be)

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the shared exp and shared money as it drastically shortens the early and mid wipe which are the most fun parts of the wipe. It also provides a huge advantage to those who have arena which isn't fair to those who don't have it. I do think the tarkov exp grind is something that needs to be fixed but I don't like this being the fix. Right now the best way to level up in tarkov is to not play tarkov which doesn't really seem right.

Arena is fun, but the net code is still pretty bad. Me and my buddies gang up ks23 and tested how hits register. 90% of the time, when you have shot on your screen it doesn’t appear on other person’s screen and not even registered. So if you wanted to rock some Lapua against full auto, just drop the idea.

I think people claiming people who have arena is an unfair advantage are blowing it out of proportion. I'm sorry but if you paid for a $150 - $250 game, you're living in the US and pay for internet, there's no way you can't scrounge a little money to buy arena.
