At the NFL Combine, which is invitation only, they generally have many things that they measure, he only ran the 40 years dash. He knew that he was being drafted primarily for his speed. When he was called, he dropped his sweats in the stand, ran his sprint and kept running into a limo and left. He was also asked a question by the NY Giants. He replied by asking them when they were drafting. I believe they said 10th. He said that he would be gone by then, so he declined to even answer.

A reason that you see Deion Sanders and a few other running backs seem so fast is that they were also on their college track teams and ran sprints against some of the fastest sprinters in the world. The normal athlete wasn't trained against that kind of speed.

Renaldo Neamaiah comes to mind, he was a track sprint star in college and became a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers in the early 1980’s. This was just before they got Jerry Rice and Neamiah did alright and got some long receptions and touchdowns. Unfortunately, Neamiah’s career was cut short due to injury and he retired in 1986 or something like that, so a pretty short career.

Several coaches admitted that when they played against Deon Sanders said that they told their quarterback to simply do not throw the ball to the side of the field that Deon was covering.

There is no denying Deion's abilities in either sport. Has anyone brought up Earl Campbell? The Tyler Rose! He was either around you or through you! Also Larry Csonka. Zonk was going through you or through you! LoL!

To me he is the GOAT in NFL, exclude quarterbacks. He could hurt you on defense, offense and special teams. He still doing it as a college football coach. Big personality and a good dude.

The 49ers had lost 2 straight NFC Championship games to the Cowboys(who went on to win the Super Bowl both times.) The 49ers decided they wouldn't be beaten again in the NFC Championship game so they signed Deion for a year. Then he went to the Cowboys and he won a Super Bowl there as well the very next year. He truly was Prime Time.

Hands down the greatest corner in history. And currently one of the best up and coming coaches in college.

Further recommendations (Bored Films) Freak athlete like Dieon: Randy Moss Best Safety: Ed Reed Will take more searching, but hidden gems are the 80s-90s Washington Redskins: Wide Receiver Art Monk & Cornerback Darrell Green (fastest player on the team his entire like 33 year career lol) …Old school NFL, in a dozen seasons, Washington under head coach Joe Gibbs had 3/4 Super Bowl wins & 2 of the all time greatest squads Joe Gibbs is a literal workaholic who backed away for health reasons, then started a NASCAR team, eventually getting in both NFL & NASCAR Halls of Fame What happened is Washington had the best owner in pro sports (Jack Kent Cooke) then got bought by literally one of the absolute worst (Dan Snyder) It used to be that Football in Washington DC was the only thing that united everyone… really happy I got to live through that era of NFL Thanks for attending my TEDx lol

If anything, his personality was bigger than what was on display. The only other multi-sport athlete that could compare to Deion and Bo would be Jim Thorpe. Of course, he did it in the early 1900's.
