Will the Thrill was such an exciting player to watch. His intensity to win was felt by all his fans. All the best to him.

Loved following him over the years along with Kevin Mitchell, Matt Williams, Robby Thompson, Brett Butler, Dave Dravecky and the rest of the late 80s and early 90s Giants. He made Giants' baseball memorable for my childhood. Loved his passion, intensity, and his swing.

Still got the swagger like he’s did back in days. Clark and Griffey Jr have the sweetest swing I’ve seen in baseball.

I always loved and tried to mimic his reverse smile. He still does it. And I love it more than ever. I wish I could travel back to being a 15 year old boy and stay up late to watch him play one more time.

The kind of numbers he'd have put up if he'd just swallowed his pride, stayed with the Giants, and spent the rest of his career with Barry Bonds hitting behind him.

Will was a great player, and my favorite player as a kid, but he doesn't have HOF numbers. Maybe if he'd played another 5 years his stats would be worthy of a HOF nod.

Will doesn't have HOF numbers in the normal counting stats, but some of his numbers adjusted measure up, he left showing he still had a couple more years in the tank, and I have always been a proponent of using the Hall of Fame to tell the story of baseball, and you cant tell that story without The Thrill

GOAT.. I wanted to go to Mississippi State as a kid cause of him.. First MLB AB Homerun off Nolan Ryan..First player to make 3 million per year… one of my favs for sure. Got a ball thrown up to me from him in 1991 at candlestick. My 11 year old son now has the ball and wears eye black in his honor every game and practice
