Boys are absolutely in love with their mamas. I’m having my 3rd baby boy in July and I promise no matter the gender you’re going to know what to do The fact that you’re worried about it shows you’ll be an awesome mom. We’re all just doing the best we can! 😘praying for peace for you!

I am also having a baby boy in August. And I am Super excited about having a son. Although I am a little scared just because I dont know what to do with a boy. I already have 3 girls so I definitely wanted a boy this time but I am a little nervous. But I've heard that boys are so attracted to their moms and I just cant wait for him to be so attracted to me because all of my girls are attracted to their dad so I'm a little jealous lol. But anywho I think you are going to be an awesome boy mom and congrats to you and your husband on becoming first time parents.

I remember feeling the exact same way when I was pregnant with my son. But now I can’t even imagine having any other baby. The way little boys love their moms is so special and indescribable and if I think about it too much I’ll cry! He’s the sweetest little angel. You will LOVE having a boy

I’m crying because my oldest is a boy. Being a boy mom is soooooooo beautiful. I’m pregnant with a girl and it’s weird it already feels like a different type of love. Both intense but so different. It’s hard to explain lol. But boys really love their moms on a different level. It’s amazing! But advice let him cry, let him be sensitive and talk through his emotions. You’re going to love being a boy mom!

I am so glad you shared your feelings and fears with being a boy mom. I feel the same way and am also due with a baby boy in May. My first was a girl and I had a hard time accepting the fact she wouldn’t have a sister when we found out the gender because that is what I had and wanted for her also. But I know I will love my son and they will have a special bond but I definitely have the same feelings you do with becoming a boy mom. We got this! 💙

Girl. I appreciate this video so much. I found out we’re having a boy a few weeks ago and I’ve been semi terrified ever since. Last night I got extremely emotional wondering if I’m going to be a good mother to a boy, and how do I raise a boy? You are totally not alone. And don’t feel guilty. You’re allowed to feel how you feel. You’re gonna be the best mama and it’ll come so natural.

Pregnancy can be so emotional! Don’t be too hard on yourself. I’m a new boy mom (he’s almost 2 months old) and it is THE BEST thing ever!! Yeah it’s not the same as the relationship between a girl and her mom (I have an amazing relationship with my mom), but it is JUST as special. While at the same time being special in a different way than it would be with a girl! You will be the first one to teach him how to treat girls, how to be a true gentleman, etc and that is HUGE. You will be the most positive female influence in his life and don’t underestimate that! The first time your little boy smiles at you, your heart will melt. Max (our son) gets so excited to see me when he wakes up from his naps and it is the SWEETEST thing ever. You’re going to be an amazing boy mom! Remember: God knew what He was doing when He gave you this little one. 💙

I started crying when I found out that my first was a boy. I grew up with 2 sisters, so I didn’t know what to do with a boy. I found out that no matter what the gender is, the baby is still loved. You learn what he likes as he grows. No matter what, you’re always his mom, and nobody can take that position from you.

Baby movements are the best! All the emotions with pregnancy and postpartum can be overwhelming. My first baby is a boy and I really wanted a boy first and I was fearful of having a girl because of the pressure of the influence I will leave on her (mostly because the relationship that I have with my mom). However, my second baby is a girl and I am really happy because now I’m excited about our bond and what i will teach. I am sure you will be a great boy mom!

Mum to 2 boys here (toddler and newborn). Sons are so amazing! Your son will adore his mummy, and he will just get more precious to you as he grows and learns how to talk to you (I have cried from hearing my toddler's simple "Love you, Mummy", made sweeter by knowing he is a loving boy who will grow to be a loving man).

I had 3 girls before I had #4 my son. And let me tell you ... there is something weirdly bonding between us. I dont "love him more " than my girls but I love him in this weird different way it's hard to explain unless you have 1 of each. But I'm litterally his whole world , yes he loves his dad n they wrestle n hes starting to get into ice skating for hockey soon. ( hes 5 ) all the boy things but whenever he needs something or just wants a cuddle it's always to me and he naturally just gravitates to me over my husband. I am now expecting a huge surprise baby #5 and we just found out it's another boy and I'm litterally over the moon. So happy my son is going to have a brother. Girls are fun to dress n do girly things with but.... my eldest is 13 and.....lordy.... if I get through the day not wanting to punch her in the throat lol it's a good day...pmsing hormonal 13 year old who knows everything is ohhh so much fun... And I'll have 3 girl teens soon.... I might die...so lol semi be glad hes a boy lol

I have my 4th boy on the way! It is honestly a really “easy” and simple life and I know God knew that I needed that. They are loud and messy and play hard but there is no drama, we have so much fun as a family, and they are so sweet to me! They propose to me all the time, buy me the cutest gifts with their allowance, and even get the lotion out and rub my feet! Boys love their moms! I also have only sisters(3 of them).. so I only knew the girl life but God wanted me to be a boy mom and I can’t imagine life any other way now. You’ll see how easy it is once he is in your arms and you know him better than anyone else!

My personal opinion is that the sex of the child has nothing to do with what kind of relationship/bond you’ll have or won’t have. You mold and nourish that relationship/bond to what you want it to be. I’m a girl mom of two girls and my husband and I both have the same relationships with them. They are 5 & 7 now. People get surprised to see that the girls talk to their dad about boy crushes like nothing or fashion stuff because he’s their dad but he’s made sure early on to not be left out of these talks by making himself available and keeping his feelings about it aside so they are comfortable talking to him. I have started the period talk with my husband so come that time if I’m not home he can help and not feel lost. You both will bring to the table different things and it will be exactly what your child needs.

I was a single mom to a boy until he was 5 and I think we are closer than if he was a girl! He is a total momma's boy and the sweetest and most thoughtful little guy I know. You will be fine! Hey girl I am a mom of all girls :-) so I have no boy experience but I do know that God has picked YOU out to be this little boys mama! You are going to be an amazing mom and do great! Being a parent is incredibly joyful and such a blessing. But being a parent is also hard in many ways too. The Lord will guide you and Jacob through it all. Just press into Him. It’s his gift to you and he will see you through it all.

We have the sweetest relationship and bond that I just can't even imagine not having now. I'm pregnant with a girl now, and I'm actually feeling nervous of what our relationsip will be like since my son and my relationship is so special.

My little boy is now two and he is just darling and so far I just haven’t found any particular differences that I was expecting with him being a boy- it’s all happened really naturally:) I’m now 22 weeks pregnant with another boy and feeling some of that same emotion again and just allowing it, I think it’s totally part of the process of getting ready. It'll be fine, but one thing I learned with my son even the gender neutral toys I loved as a kid I was so excited to get for him and he was always underwhelmed...lincoln logs among other things, I can't remember but I got him so many thigns I remembered loving that weren't girly toys and he never liked any of it. Made me so sad. Eventually I learned we are just SO different, but it's ok lol and now I have a daughter too. :)

I have a girl and I’m used to girls I would probably feel the same way. It is different but different good. Please my biggest advise I wish I would have followed w my newborn. Enjoy the time together and enjoy every single day the first year goes by incredibly fast. Don’t worry too much about milestones or development do it in a way to help him but don’t feel too concerned about those things. He will grow and develop. All of the sudden he will be 2 or 3 and they start being more independent it’s such a short stage. Enjoy your baby when he comes.

All you’re feeling is completely normal and understandable. I remember feeling the same. Oddly enough I was convinced baby was a girl until about a week or two before we found out and then I 100% knew it was a boy. But then it was confirmed and I was like yay! And then Uh oh! And things aren’t always clear even now how I’m supposed to handle certain situations as a boy mom but I will tell you it is absolutely true that little boys LOVE their mamas. Right now my son is my absolute buddy and shadow. Not that he doesn’t love dada too but there is a really special bond you’ll have with your son as his mom. Being nervous is a part of it I guess but you’re going to love having a little baby boy in your life. Hope the rest of the pregnancy goes well for you! 💙

Hey Marissa, been mia because I lost my second miscarriage and had to hide from social media for a while. My son is 2 years old and boys are SO MUCH FUN! Seth, my son, I've noticed didnt start talking until later than my friends with girls. Hes constantly moving. He loves to snuggle mama. As a boy mom, get ready for running, exploring, laughing, snuggling, kissing booboos, trucks, trains, cute bowties, sweet kisses, and more! I love how good-natured and easygoing my son is compared to my friends' girls. You are going to LOVE being a boy mom! Pro tip:have the clean diaper under their bum before you take off the dirty one, that way once you quick remove the dirty, you can cover them with the clean, or you run the risk of an impromptu shower! 😖

Also, my relationship with Seth is the sweetest most beautiful thing. There is such a special bond between boys and their mamas. My husband gets jealous lol. My best boy mom advice is to cheer him on in all of his crazy adventures and always be there as an anchor with open arms when he needs them. Be ready and willing to adventure!

Hi Marissa, I'm not a boy mom yet, I'm due the day before you with a boy! I have a daughter and love her so much it hurts. Its actually so strange because I think shes so perfect that I cant imagine having a boy now and how different it will be. But I know it will be just like when I had her, the second I hold him I wont have any fears left, he will be perfect and I will be in love! Try not to think about the worries too much because I promise when hes here and you think back on these worries you will laugh at yourself. It will all come so naturally. You got this mama ❤

I was upset when I found out my first was a boy but I could not be happier. I love being a boy mom and I’m pregnant with boy #2 as well. I thought I’d be a little sad if I didn’t have a girl but I’m not. I can’t wait. My son is the sweetest kindest little boy and everyone loves him. I can’t wait to be a soccer mom (or whatever he’s into). I just want to be there to support him through everything. & his baby brother! & I love being a boy mom. Because I get to raise him to be a gentleman and I get to teach him how to be good to others. That warms my heart so much.

As a mom of 3 boys it's a messy blessed life! I wouldn't want it any other way there is a special bond with sons and their mom. I have 3 brothers so knew what boys were all about. Definitely invest in good smelling natural bathroom cleaner on a few years because your bathroom won't ever be the same!! We have taught them to clean at an early age. Chiropractic appointments is a must I didn't learn about it till years after my last pregnancy I wish I did it sooner. Also prenatal and massages in general after birth are important as your muscles try to get back to normal.
