Your memory of that play is WAY off. This makes it sound like he made some crazy hit on a guy. It was a defensive back not a linebacker, who dropped the ball as he was standing up and Levis fell on it after having nothing to do with the fumble. Why would a play like that make him your favorite player?

Will's injuries were not due to him being too aggressive. It was due to him getting blindside hit by d-line men because the line was the worst in the NFL. I'm not saying the aggressiveness doesn't need to dial down(It definitely does), but the injuries weren't due to it

As a Titans fan from Nashville, let me tell you there are very few Titans fans that are skeptical about who our QB of the future is. We are worried about the offensive line and the secondary, not QB. Also, it’s refreshing to see a brave QB with confidence and a fearless leader again finally, we haven’t really had that since McNair. And McNair couldn’t pass as well as Levis, IMO.

I disagree with your point about his progression being slow due to his inability to read through progressions. Callahan speaks about Levis showing great promise in this area. It was said that often it was not because Levis was late to throw the ball due to some lack of knowledge but was due more to his receivers being unable to separate and to get off press coverage. Levis in no way was limited to half the field. He would regularly go through all his progressions. He did a good job at this much better than most rookies according to the coaches. I loved your video. Thank you for your hard work. I think you just need to do a bit deeper dive into your analysis by going and reading what the local team reporters as well as any personal interviews a coach has where he breaks down the QB’s talent. And his accuracy is not well reported. There is a stat that gives a better understanding of a QBs accuracy. Looking at the highest rate of incompletions due to inaccurate passes Levis has a better accuracy percentage the 23 QBs. He is 9th in the league with only 27.4 % of his passes being incomplete due to him throwing an inaccurate pass. Watson is worst with a 43.9% rating. And that is behind the worst o-line in football. And with receivers that had the most drops than any receiving core in the NFL. Levis is going to be a franchise QB no doubt ! Think about it. Levis with no real work in training camp and no real reps during the season because he was the 3rd QB on the rooster. And he had a coach that was terrible at play calling. The dude as a rookie goes in with little practice in the middle of the season and takes this terrible team to a 3 and 4 record. And not one of the games they lost was because of poor QB play. He was the reason they were even in those games. Levis is going to be a big time quarterback !!

I’m a Colts fan. And I truly think Levis will be a better player than Richardson. I wish the Colts would have taken him last year. Richardson is a physical specimen. But he is slow and run first. Levi’s has had a worse situation every year. And somehow outshined him.

This year will be telling with the new offense under Callahan.... The tools are there, but how many guys have we seen bust in similar circumstances? A guy drafted due to his raw talent despite mixed results in college. Could go either way... As always, your evaluation and breakdown was elite.
@t4d0W
2 ай бұрын
I mean Levis wouldn't really be a 'bust' being an early 2nd round pick. If he doesn't work out he would be rated properly as being chosen where he did rather than the hype surrounding him as a first round guy. If anything the current Titans staff/regime are on the clock to get a proper working O-line and run game so they can assess Levis correctly. Since he's also in a similar timeline with the current veteran receiver group. If he ends up being like 2019 Tannehill by his third or fourth year, he's definitely worth a second contract from the Titans.

IMHO only Levis can determine if he’s going to be successful. We don’t know yet if he has the fast processing when reading defenses. Lots of QBs have huge arms & great athletic ability yet we’ve seen what makes elite QBs: hard work so almost nothing is a surprise. QBs like Peyton Manning & Tom Brady have shown the way. A QB has to live football. Especially with less practice time mandated by the 2011 CBA.
