I’m 55, being doing Pilates consistently for 3 months now, I have (almost) healed my lower back and sciatica issues, plus I’ve started to notice muscle definition and I’m most certainly feeling stronger. I’m not stopping now, after the menopause my body changed but I’m taking back control.

it rlly does work and it lasts a while but consistency is key. when i did a 30 day challenge, the first month i missed out a few days at first but slowly got into the habit of it. the challenge provided rests and they were enough. by my second time over i had already seen a change in my body, increase in muscle and decrease in fat. depression got in the way but i wanna get back so bad

Absolutely! I do pilates and intermittent fasting and always feel so much better if I keep at it. I definitely notice a difference if I happen to be slacking at all.

I started it a few years ago. It has helped decrease pain, increase flexibility, poise, strength, and confidence. And, it had an unexpected benefit of making me feel calmer. It's superb for mental health. The focus you need to get into the breathing, position, then the moves means you simply cannot think of anything else for the 40 mins during the routine. Highly recommend.

It will tone your body, and you'll lose weight at the same time. Even me, I did an intense workout for a couple of months, but I couldn't do it continuously. Instead, to lose weight, I've gained a lot and felt so much stress. So, which is why I've decided to quit working out. But then I was motivated to try pilates and yoga at the same time, but I decided to stick to pilates. And I've made a great decision. I started doing pilates since March, and now it has just been almost 2 months now, and I have already seen the results. From 52kg down to 46kg now. I am so grateful to find my perfect workout routine❤

@afafabed3293 I do it 5 to 6 times a week, 1 to 2 days rest, 30 to 40 minutes a day. Together with protein diet, veggies, and fruits. I tried to cut sugar intake, and it helped me a lot to control my cravings, especially to sweets. I even switched to green tea instead of coffee without added sugar. It also helped me a lot by checking all the nutrition facts of the foods that I purchased in the supermarket. Less fats and saturated fats are much better, very less sugar to zero grams. Tried to switch in some foods that have good fats, like avocados, nuts, seeds, eggs, etc. There's no need to cut the carbs. Just make sure the sugar is very little to zero. I switched to oat milk or almond milk that has zero sugar, too. Drink a lot of water, at least 2 litres of water, not cold, so it won't make you bloated. Try to eat foods with high fibre and protein to help you feel full. Take supplements and vitamins too to help you get energised. I've been doing pilates for 5 months now, and I can really see the changes in my body. Do it in the morning with an empty stomach, then wait 30 minutes before you eat, because it will help your muscles to recover first if you'll wait at least 30 to 40 minutes after you workout. I do it in the morning because I don't feel exhausted yet. Instead of doing it in the evening when you're already drained at work, then you'll feel lazy already. I hope my tips will help you. I’m 26 and I started doing Pilates sporadically before I had my daughter and after more consistently but I didn’t start noticing a difference until I started incorporating more intense Pilates days with more relaxed ones. So it took me about 3 almost 4 weeks to notice a difference and about 6-8 weeks for others to notice! I liked it! Makes me feel really proud of my body and the work I put into it even when I feel so tired from everything ❤

Walking really helped me with fat loss! It's an underrated cardio exercise because it's low impact but I lost a lot of fat and toned my legs and glutes as well! (This was from daily walks for a 6 month period. I walked about fifteen minutes at least twice a day). I highly recommend it for people with health concerns, or if you are starting an exercise as a beginner. It's gentle but effective! 🎉

It’s mostly about the diet for our fat loss. Women in menopause increasing protein intake, looking at balanced healthy meals and shedding processed foods from the diet to limit bloating and avoid working against the body’s system. Women not in menopause it’s more about just reducing general calorie intake. And being conscious about incorporating movement in to everyday life, instead of scheduling it as times of exercise. Stairs instead of escalators, walking instead of transport, stretches and weight bearing exercises can also be fun and effective. Hope that helps!

Maybe it’s just me but I joined Pilates and went faithfully 5-6 times a week for 4 months and didn’t not see or feel any noticeable change in my body. I was already somewhat fit and just thought I would lean up and get more definition but did not. It was too expensive to continue.

I actually just learned couple days ago that second workout move is horrible for your back. I always knew but I finally got confirmation. It puts strain on many parts of your back even if you do the exercise slow and precise. Just find a different move ❤❤
