With all due respect, he didn't cut in front of him in line or something, he smacked memories outta Chris in front the nation. Millions watched and it's a watershed moment in history. This is the first time we've heard him address it in full and honestly, he didn't need to do it publicly but it was a public confrontation... As far as him not owing an apology to anyone else...I disagree. If you assume a leadership position, which he has outside of his acting, and you preach certain morals...when you break those morals, I feel you owe it to the ppl you feel you've personally effected by possibly disappointing them through your actions. If I beat a guy up in front of my daughter, I'd owe her an apology even though I didn't hit HER, however I tell her there's better ways to handle situations, usually.

I think more people than not, feels 2nd hand embarrassment because it happened at the Oscars. I understand our (DACS) history and why black people feel the need to perform accordingly under the white gaze. But I BELIEVE the scrutiny is unwarranted. AND as far as Chris Rock, I would be more offended at my white colleagues referring to me as their n-word (ie Louis CK), then my black peer assaulting me in defense of his family or himself.
