It should be noted that you don't have to get the dish above the trees, any elevation will help. Starlink wants 100 degrees of unobstructed sky, which is not horizon to horizon luckily. If you were in a clearing surrounded by 100ft tall trees, and it was 100ft away to the base of the nearest tree, you'd have 90 degrees. If you were able to raise the dish 20ft, you'd get 102 degrees of sky view, which would be enough.

It will also improve with more satellites being launched. With a denser mesh, the closed satellite is closer to vertically above you. Starlink also uses the red blocked area's to predict when the satellite it is using will be blocked, and can switch to a different one just before that, IF another one is available, which depends greatly on the number of operational satellites.

A lot of people forget that the disconnecting in streaming things like FPS games on Starlink will come when the satellites swap your connection over as they pass by. It's sort of like a handshake between the satellites that has to complete before you can continue the packets.

I live in a redwood forest (in trees TALL AF) and have Starlink (came on in Beta) as well as a (low bandwidth) radio wave transmitted internet for more consistency. Starlink here is great for our update & other larger downloads. Sometimes it works for videos if allowed to buffer enough of it to fill in gaps from that. As they continue to launch more satellites, it improves a bit. We're at a decent latitude (the further north, the greater the concentration of satellites) which I'm sure helps a bit. We'll see how it goes from here.
