I’ve got 800watts on my van roof buck. It’s worth putting as much up there as you can in my opinion. The panels are so cheap these days might as well. I did this test on my van last Christmas Il send you link. We used the jackery at night time to cool inside the van down over summer, but your right you need lots of solar.

Not a waste of time at all mate. Very interesting. It makes me think - "what could the Jackery power in my house in the event of mains power loss?". Good work mate

Sounds good to take some humidity out of the van before bed for a couple of hours. But with the thinking of more Jackerys I think the money would be better spent adding to the lithium built into the van and have a in-house system that can run the ac

Hi Buck Good review. Its all about looking outside the square. It wasn't a waste of time at all. We must both had a light bulb moment as I was thinking after watching Epsiode 400 lol on the Engle you can power the caravan with the Jackery. Everyone has there own ideas. You could use the Jackery to cool down the van enough to make it comfortable enough whilst off grid. Then charge up the next day with solar. You are right about the solar panels they never ever get to the wattage they say they are. All the best Keep up the great videos Peter

The AC will cycle on and off Buck. So maybe you could get an hour extra in the evening if the van is down to temperature

Hey Buck! I’ve just thought of another Engel video you can make ‘Will the Engel generator charge the Jackery 2000? And how fast?’. I reckon you can make at least another 5 Engel generator related videos before the months out 👍

lovely ep and trial run, Hay Buck it would of been good to know how many watts the aircon pulled when it started up, as well as what it took to run it, Another Trial thanks. it's why you see the big full size vans on the road with upto 2500 watts of solar on there roofs with say 800 to 1200 amps of lithium batteries and they park in the sun to run there aircons,

Great clip mate. A wasn’t a waste of time at least you’ve shown it can run it but not for long. That’s why I haven’t really entertain the idea of using lithium batteries to run the Aircon you would need to many of them and a small bank loan as well , Can you tell me what type of solar panels I can get to charge up my batteries at night? I heard you mention it. I’m sure the maniac would love to do a video on those type of panels as well. 😂😂😂

I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a power station to run the van off grid and have come to the same conclusion, yes I can get one but if the bride wants aircon it won’t last very long. I seen a clip where they got a 12v to 24v step up for their spare battery and that increases your run time for very little cost and effort 👍👍. And then I thought ( I know I try not to make it a habit) what about a small inverter run off the spare battery into the ac side and the solar panels at the same time. Plus you need to remember that once the van is down to temperature the power draw should come back a bit to just run the fan. As for the generator,it’s a lot different running it in the middle of the day for 3 or 4 hours to top everything back up than running it all night, remembering sounds of a night. 😂😂 you have the enough subject matter here to get more clips on the genny 😂👁️👁️😎😇🐕🦺currently at Blackbutt and life is good ❤️🇦🇺

To run your aircon they are useless If you buy 4x200 ah Kings batteries plus an inverter you will be paying way less than 2 of them and you can run your aircon for more than 4 hours
