Great tests! The Patriot Smokes worked a lot better this time out, but that smoke never really stayed close to the ground. The Enola Gay Smokes released smoke that clung to the ground much more - if I needed to escape or evade a contentious situation I’d want those Enola Gays that would release smoke that would possibly provide better concealment. Their price and consistency have sold me. Appreciate it, sir! Happy New Year!!!

Enola Gay smoke grenades are great, but they are a fire hazard. They should never be used in dry grass or any ground that's got dry ground cover. They do put out a small flame which catches things on fire. Some paintball fields have even banned their use because of that.

To be fair, the last 3 of these I tried worked perfectly, The next 100 might, I just don't have the budget to keep testing them. So I am not sure "not a very good product" is accurate. It may be but it might not be. 4 is really a very small sample size to make a firm conclusion.

Love your pup's reaction. If you were using these for conceal/evasion in an open area, then I don't think these will help much the smoke is rising up too much not staying low to ground where you would need it. Enclosed area's or signaling would be a better use for them. However, they would be better than nothing, the EG's seem to do a better job but just short lived Thanks for the video Stay Safe & Good Luck

Enola Gaye's Mil-X is much cheaper and is the "tactikool" version of Patriot Smoke's. I think it was like $25 in my area
@SurvivalOnPurpose
2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t even know they had the Mil-X. They are not shown on their website (that I could easily find). When I finally found them the said they are only available for “civilian purchase” at paintball or air soft field. And them I found a site that seems to be ok with shipping them. They are $30. Maybe I’ll try to order some and test them. So, thanks for the heads up. Although I don’t think the Patriot Smoke deserve the derogatory “tactikool” label. They are just a small family owned business trying to make a high quality product. Like I said, I spoke at length with the owner about the issues I had with the first batch and he happily replaced them with the newer models. That doesn’t mean they don’t all need to work, just that I think the “tactikool” label is unwarranted.
@stuartholden6163

@@SurvivalOnPurpose oops didn't mean to sound degrading on tactical stuff. But yes even though I think the Patriot Smoke produces more, both it and the Mil-X have the appeal of the studier can. It's definitely a stockpile must and Patriots should be gobbling them up. Also check out 37mm flare launchers. I haven't seen the dye online, but guys make their own smoke grenades to launch and as long as it's a fireworks style projectile, the ATF doesn't consider it a destructive devise.

@@SurvivalOnPurpose With alittle practice you can use a bbq lighter and toss a smoke ball pretty good under stress and chaos. I had a yellow lab, Thor and a German Shepard, Odin, who were gun crazy and loved fireworks. Too the point on the 4th of July where they would stand next to me barking and when I lite a smoke ball and tossed it it, Thor would pickup it up and run around the yard with it, without burning himself. Odin would stand next to me and and lite a bottle rocket and toss it on the ground and he would chase it until it exploded.
