"Birdie Balls" actually fly a limited distance, with a traditional trajectory(hook, slice, or straight), and make a specific sound when hit well. Really fun to hit, outdoors only though.

After watching your video I ordered the flat ball. Tried them out and kinda got a groove with them. They do make a different sound and fly different when hit good vs. not so good. Played the next day and hit the ball great. Since then I hit 12 the evening before playing the next morning. Hitting the ball so much more solid I've picked up about 1 club of distance with all me irons.

I made some of these a while ago and the concept definitely works. Once 'proficient', the best routine is to still hit alternate shots with a flat ball and real ball for a while. Now I tend to hit the flat ball until I've hit 3 shots in a row that I'm happy with, then I hit the real ball. If I hit I good real ball shot I'll hit another but if I wasn't happy with the real ball shot, I go back to the flat ball to hit another 3 good ones in a row. BTW, they are designed to look similar in size (and texture) to a real golf ball when looking at them at address, and they are white because ... well, that one is pretty obvious but maybe they should make yellow ones for those that play yellow balls.

I'm a 16 handicap and started to use these. Usually during a round its a given I'll thin a fairway wood, especially my 3 wood. I'll probably will have 3/4 shots during a round that I'll hit thin with my clubs. These things are money!! Eliminates the thin/fat shots. Also great for practicing chipping with a lob wedge. You spend time with these little things and a golf ball seems huge. Flushing it now. These thinks will work plan and simple.

When you first showed them, I thought that the club is supposed to come down on top of the flat ball. That would cause it to jump into thy sure when struck properly. It would also help to train the eye, and the club too, to not be hitting behind the ball which the flat ball encourages even though only a little bit.

Anything that helps the average golfer focus is great. Try foot spray on your irons into a net. See where the club face is hitting the ball. Or make a quarter size mark on the sweet spot of your 7iron and try to tattoo the ball into a net. Aim at the logos and the open spaces till the ball looks like a leopard.

I bought these, yesterday, just to try them out. You know it when you hit behind them. The flatball just sits there unscathed. Your first reaction is, "WTF?!" Definate feedback 'miss' due to hitting 'fat'. After a couple of adjustments in my set up, I was able to fling them. I even hit them with a fairway wood. I played a round of golf today and I did hit a couple of fat shots with the 4 iron. BTW-I'm a 13 hcp. Does it debunk the product? Flatball works on a perfect lie, via hitting mat. We all know, its not too often, even in fairways, a perfect lie. Above/below the feet and uphill downhill lies. Those lies change a flat set up. A solid con point made in this video is there is no ball trajectory feedback, etc. The funny thing is, I used to just hit gallon milk jug caps (Next: beer caps). Fling those suckers, too! I wonder if a flatball if on a tee, for driver, might show anything? Just adding my 2 cents...
