I've heard him tell the story of casting Fernando Rey (or not!) countless times, and I never get tired of it. Bill is a real treasure of world cinema, absolutely love him.

Thank you for sharing this. A wonderful guy, and I hope he knew how loved he was. I have listened to many hours of interviews with him and he's always utterly fascinating and a seems like wonderful company. Hope he rests peacefully.

Even though William Friedkin was frail looking in the video, his strong love of the cinema and history of film was unaffected and he clearly loved talking about his favorite topics. Thank you, Mr. Friedkin, for sharing your experiences with us. You will live on by your many contributions, and remain an inspiration for film lovers and future film makers. RIP
