Frank you could have had the only hulbert Perez Steele cut auto piece. Very cool to see some of these examples. It’s funny for so long I was just so focused on getting guys I can afford I skipped right over the ultra rare guys. If I could change one thing, I would have went for the rare ones first. But I was soooo darn focused on that HOF number going up

I read Frank's comment- you COULD have had the only *future* Perez Steele cut William Hulbert, when I eventually bought it from you!!! Haha thanks for sharing as always Frank!

I understand what you were trying to say about injustice about Hulbert not getting in earlier, but Ban Johnson did not get in only because he was the first president of the American League. He founded the American League and basically forced baseball to add the American league teams in to the fold, as well as being extremely influential (for good and bad) throughout his lifetime. At this point, will you be targeting a Hulbert auto, or is it the one that got away and you'll probably never get one? Good video, Frank!

Didn’t know his signature was super rare. Hopefully you’ll be able to obtain one! Would be sick to see you get all the ones you need still!

When I think of the National League, I think of William Hulbert. There is a Morgan Bulkely signed letterhead on love of the game auctions right now. Ill be interested to see what that goes for.

How can you tell that “JSA had a hard time authenticating it.”

Ah, fair question. I know the person that originally submitted to JSA and told me the story and how they originally rejected it before passing it.

Love this era of baseball. I live in Louisville and its a shame that people done know the history Louisville had on the game in the 1800s
