I have this model in the professional length and it is by far my favorite gun! I have just over 7300 rounds on mine. It looks like a well maintained pistol that's spent the past 4.5 years in a kydex carry holster. When it's not being carried, it's at the range battling the paper target apocalypse. I was gonna contact you about reviewing mine just so we had more Wilson combat representation on the channel and so you could display how a well used variant that is carried daily performs. BUT this will suffice, lol. Thanks for the great content man!!!

WTF? I actually LIKE the pistol bag the Wilsons come in! 🤣 And yes, the company makes phenomenal guns, AND is a dream to deal with. Pure class. Their guns work. And work and work. If you want pretty, go with a Supergrade Wilson - with a color-case-hardened frame and high polish blue slide. The bulk of their offerings are serious shooters. The fancier Supergrades shoot just as well, but are works of art.

Nighthawk, Dan Wesson, Wilson, Ed Brown, Cabot, Les Baer are the names that come to mind, in no particular order. Maybe a video giving an overview of this topic would be cool for the subscribers. Thanks for the great content

Physics sucks. I can’t subscribe twice... OR physically engage in consensual relations with this gun. Well, ... I can’t “painlessly”. Great job on the review. Your impressions were well articulated and your realistic perspective on the Protector line actually lends some consideration of “ruggedness”, (I know, not a word) to an otherwise “Gated Community AARP BLOCK BBQ” kind of catalogue. I mean, nobody bearing sane mental circumstances would EDC a Supergrade or Duty Carry one of those Limited Tens. So watching some yahoo rack the slide of a high-class production model from the rear sight off of a stump they were currently sitting comfortable on gave me a very unique sensation in my trousers. The wallet area of my trousers, you sicko. Lol WANT

The only difference is that you review these things and still have that mentality. @@byronmclean8323 If you have about $4,000 USD to spend on a high end but old technology and heavy 1911/2011... Instead of just getting the best new tech. $800 Heckler & Koch or a super reliable $600 USD Glock 🤔 then more power to you. BUT please do try to justify your personal poor (lMO) choice for a 1911/2011. 1911s/2011s are not the best guns for self-defense. That gun is in most 🚔 police, 🪖 military, and civilian holsters. 🇺🇸 in America you can protect your family in many simple and logical ways than the use of deadly force. Deadly force with handguns 🔫 is so rare it is less that a 1% chance of actually using it in a self-defense incident 😳. You are much better off avoiding dangerous areas, self awareness of your surroundings, running 🎽 away, etc. Also, using pepper 🌶 spray or gel for the many more non-lethal self-defense situations you are likely to be involved in is cheaper and wiser as you don't need to use a gun for most self-defense incidents on the street. So stop ✋ with using your life to justify an expensive 1911 that you really bought for *Byron McLean* cause you just wanted it. If you said that, i.e. _"I just wanted a top of the line 1911 that cost an arm 💪 and a 🦵 leg",_ that at least is the truth and would have been respected.

@@sweetcostarica First of all, I am a lawyer, which affords me an income to purchase semi and full-custom builds. I grew up shooting the 1911 and carrying it as my primary sidearm for the last 35 years. I shoot it very well. That said, I also have custom-built polymer handguns that have much more precise shooting characteristics than the off-the-rack polymers. You smugly say that I have less than a 1% chance of using my firearm in a self-defense incident. Oh, you mean about the same chance as contracting and dying from COVID if you are under the age of 60, for which the masses have been forced to endure lockdowns and mandates? I avoid putting myself in a situation where I will have to use my firearm for self-defense. But, I have had threats made against me in the past, and I have been forced to put my hand on my firearm when I was followed to my car late at night by a dude wearing a ski mask when leaving my downtown office. One of my attorney friends was physically attacked by three individuals outside of his office and had to draw his firearm to break off the attack. Signaling that you are armed or drawing a weapon to deter attack does not make it into the “use” statistics, as you should know. And, my situation is a little bit different from the typical person insofar as I have a mobility problem, so I cannot run away from a threat. It also makes me a more likely target for predators. So, since you do not know me or my personal situation, perhaps you should kindly STFU.

@@byronmclean8323 Now I see, but why are you *Byron M.* not more thankful 🤔 to me for bringing out the truth: - I stated truth, in fact that less than one percent of self defense involves shooting 🔫. Was that being smug or wrong? - I said if you have the money 💰 for a 1911/2011 more power to you. You being wealthy *enough* is 👍 great. So was I incorrect? - Buying a heavy, outdated, expensive (for a non-jamming 1911s) custom gun🔫 in the 1911 shows a love and higher income for it, *_so I was right again. - Buying an expensive custom polymer pistol is _"a wash"_ as it is unnecessary 😑 for self-defense and these flashy, high dollar guns are mainly for showing off with or maybe competition. - Being a lawyer, bank teller, LEO, FBI, Boarder Patrol 🚓, a woman who has a restraining order against an ex-boyfriend: are all in the same boat as us regular Joes and Janes. We all are unsafe and need self-defense techniques and tools 🔧equally. - Buying a $450 to $800 USD modern striker-fired, lightweight, smaller, polymer 9mm pistol is all anyone needs for concealed carry self-defense. Lots of money is not needed for sound self-defense. For the home 🏡 you don't need the most expensive custom shotgun either. All you need is a $300 to $400 USD Mossberg/Remington pump shotgun. You can spend more but it is a waste 🗑 of money. - I heard and now believe that intellectuals 🤧 like lawyer's, professors, doctors, rocket 🚀 scientists, and so on know their profession BUT are the dumbest people you will ever meet. They lack life skills and common sense in most cases. On the street you can spot their awkwardness, their children are a mess, few are good althetes, on and on. Just my observations. @@sweetcostarica You are so cute. So, I buy investment grade custom guns which appreciate in value. I can sell my Ted Yost, Chuck Rogers, or Lou Biondo 1911 builds for thousands more than I purchased them many years ago. I am currently investing in Alchemy Custom Weaponry guns because I believe they are undervalued. But you are the smart one and bought a Glock, which does nothing but depreciate in value. You consider only utility, while some of us appreciate fine craftsmanship by skilled master gunsmiths. A custom 1911 is like my Rolex President is to watches (by the way, my Rolex is also worth thousands more today than what I paid for it years ago). But I am sure your Timex is making you money too. Look at the XTAC model grip panels, you might like them better & they do grip alot better. On another note, don't Nighthawks also come in green canvas bags?
