Sir I have a question about himalayas why himalaya geological seeing is so varied in its geological structure ranging from archean to tertiary rocks however everyone know its origin in tertiary period. Then how it will possible to carry rock structure like archean gneiss, dharwar etc also.

The orogenic phase took place in Tertiary but the Himalayas is a host to even older rocks that were present before the collision and subduction of Tethys sea.

No Manoj! It will be 500 million years as they would cover a distance of 40,000 km with a relative speed of 8 cm/year
