@bluematter01 Wilt could bench press a Rhino, he went to Africa once and went in to the wild African plains in search of one. Eventually he found one and told the Rhino that he was going to get underneath him and bench press him. The rhino had heard the many stories of Wilt and he agreed in excitement. Wilt got underneath the 3,000 pound Rhino and proceeded to bench press 20 reps with him. The Rhino went and told all his Rhino friends what had happened and they all went and gathered around Wilt wanting to be bench pressed by him and Wilt proceeded to bench them all. One Rhino after the next. Some believe he had the blood of Hercules and that he was a demigod, half man half god like Perseus. On another occasion Earl "The Goat" Manigault was seen by witnesses at Rucker Park grabbing quarters off the top of the backboard and when Wilt saw this he put a quarter on the top of the backboard then jumped and grabbed the quarter off the top of the backboard with his teeth. Wilt's mouth was literally above the backboard, that's how high he could jump. He could have done Gerald Green's cupcake dunk with a cupcake on top of the backboard and grabbed the whole thing off the top of the backboard then ate it all in one bite while hanging in the air. That's how crazy Wilt's hang time was. There's nothing he couldn't do. A true Hercules. The Zeus of Basketball and the Chuck Norris of the NBA. 🤣

Wilt was a freak of nature, the strongest guy to ever play and a super athlete! For those complaining about recording. When I was young kid the NBA got shown as a recording. There were no cell phones, computers, social media, even sports shows like ESPN, FoxSports, no internet, you still had black-white movies. So it’s very understandable that these things didn’t get recorded. There are freaks of nature that come around every decade to 20 years, Wilt(strongest to ever play-super athlete), Michael Jordan(Super athlete-Quickness), Spudd Webb(size-super athletic)-Mugsy. Bogues(size), Charles Barkley (Super athletic-strength), Shaq(size-strength-agility), AI-Allen Iverson(Quickest to ever play-Athleticism), Nate Robinson(athleticism-super athlete ), LeBron(Super Athlete, Speed), Zion(Super Athlete) and now Wemby-(Athlete-Height)

Or they're all because some people are 7 feet tall. There's nothing special about Wilt or Bill that made the NBA realize these rules needed to be made. @@Axzide Sorry, you are wrong. I knew Wilt and saw him dunk from the foul line with only one step when he was 50 years old (he started at top of the circle). He was messing around at practice the day before the NCAA championship game in 1957 dunking from the foul line, and numerous NBA owners and GMs were there watching. That's when the rule was changed to say a player couldn't "break the plane" of the foul line until the ball hits the rim or backboard. BTW - Arnold still says Wilt was the strongest person he's ever seen. And in college, without training, Wilt won the Big 8 conference title in the high jump all 3 years he was at Kansas, ran a 48 second 440 (400m today), ran a 10.9 in the 100, threw the shot put 56 feet, and triple jumped 55 feet. All occurred at official college track meets. Verified. And his standing vertical jump was measured early in his career at 50". If there were barely any footage of Michael Jordan and decades later you tried to explain to a skeptical younger basketball fan the stuff that MJ did, they’d think you were lying too. Believe what you want, fact is Wilt was probably the best athlete in human history. Your disbelief if just a testament to Wilt’s greatness. He was so dominant you can’t even fathom just wtf that kind of freak athlete even moved like and would rather just believe he’s some mythical figure from the 60s. And i’m not coming at you either, the skepticism is understandable. If I hadn’t read the record books, watched the limited footage they had of him playing, and after hearing first hand accounts by his peers and fans who watched him play, he’s easily one of those “you had to be there” kind of phenomenons.

@@johnnyblingg Michael Jordan hasn't done anything super human. If someone tried to say. "Michael would jump and freeze in the air fit multiple seconds." That isn't true. We misremember things all the time.

@@LordMesa Jumping from the free throw line? Changing his shot in mid air and throwing it up and it always landing in the basket? A 6’6” guard that’s dunking on everyone? If you had to describe what MJ was going to someone with no media, then they would probably think you were exaggerating too. If there wasn’t footage of Shaq abs you only heard stories from his peers, he’d sound a lot like Wilt Chamberlain too

People don’t respect wilt because the stories sound impossible but they were real. The man would still dominate today, he could handle the ball so don’t go there.
