This worked pretty well. Unfortunately, I ran the setup from Boot camp drive and now I am not having any sound output due to issue with driver. It says 'The speaker, headset or headphone is unplugged' Any work around this now? I tried installing Realtek but it won't work. The only driver I have is AMD sound.

Some of the space is taken up by an EFI partition and/or system recovery depending on which OS you used to partition and format the drive with. Of course, some space is also taken up by the file system to store the file information (generally called the FAT or File Allocation Table). This is quite normal and no cause for worry.

I was wondering if ther is a way I can remove mac os on my MacBook air and only have windows as an operating system
@NCDSLR
3 жыл бұрын
I have not tried that, but, keep a MacOS USB boot device ready. Boot off an external OSX device. Run the disk utility to erase the OS X partition (The EFI would remain) as FAT or exFAT. Now boot off an existing Windows external device (you can use Win2USB or some such) and use the same to either transfer (using some app to transfer the Windows installation) or install Windows from that device. Might work :)

I also did try this last night and when i deleted all the other portions in the windows setup/instalation and when i tried to install it it got stuck at zero% and an error showed up. Then when i clicked that error to restart it, it looped from the error to restarting and booting up windows. I had no operating system on my mac and i screwed it up😕

You could try to transfer a Windows installation from an external drive using some transfer/backup apps if the install does not work...
