Brian, this was amongst the best window cleaning video that I’ve seen. You replied back to me on the Risneless wash and wow I could not have been happier with the results. I do have a question in regard to where the windshield and dashboard meet. I had a great result with the windshield but the dashboard where it met with the glass looked like it was gray on the black dashboard. I tried using the rinseless wash with foam paint brushes and micro fiber towels using plastic body tools and paint sticks. Wow, what a nightmare to clean it. I am about halfway through the process and hope you can offer how to do it better. I have been following you channel for many years and value all the excellent content you are kind enough to share.

I'm obsessed with having a perfectly clean windshield after getting a brand new one fitted last year and find myself struggling especially living in a warm climate making it near impossible to clean without leaving streaks. I was coating my paint (late in the afternoon when it was cooler) with Cancoat Evo and decided to try using on my windshield. Used clay mit, DA polish and panel prep and in the end it didn't really help in fact it seemed to make cleaning even harder. I'm thinking I maybe didn't decon and prep fully before coating. I went about wiping it down every few days like I normally do using windex etc, and the coating seems to have come off.

Brian, a few comments. First, I took your advice on the clarity crème. Works fantastic. I even used a a small microfiber sponge to do some very small quarter windows to remove water spots. People also don’t realize how much prep it takes to clean glass. Also I hear you on cleaning interiors . I just did a Honda accord that wasn’t cleaned in 3 years. I kid you not when I tell you the amount of dog hair to remove was like removing a fur rug. Took me about two hours. Of course I under estimated the job. Never again. Due to the weather, the client asked that I finish the exterior the next day. He gave me a few dollars extra for the results. I will now offer the windshield treatment separately. Btw change that over head bulb in the shop. 😇Really enjoyed your humor in this tutorial. 😂

Every vehicle’s windscreen and other glass areas all exhibit that “layer of stuff”…unmistakably obvious when you wipe a wet cloth on the glass. The water is just not a smooth film. That layer is actually minerals. Hence, that layer cannot be 100% removed via soaking with APC…even full strength APC. Even if you wiped the entire windscreen with strong solvent such as thinner or undiluted IPA or acetone….that inorganic mineral layer is still there. Hence, the best technical method is to use acidic stuff but this cannot be used on older windscreens with lots of wiper-induced scratches because it would permanently ruin the windscreen. Therefore, the safest method is to use a “glass compound” that is sufficiently abrasive…in the form of powder or liquid or paste. This type of product is extremely popular in Japan and formulated for hand application (eg: Soft99 Glass Z) All other glass areas will be affected in the similar way. Wipe a wet cloth onto the glass and its immediately obvious. If its 100% clean, the water is always a flat, smooth sheet with zero beads

So I get using BC4 as a topper over BC5 but I'm curious if anyone has used Carpro Clarify Phobic to both clean and "top" BC5? Brian, Happy-Healthy 2024! Another great video! I love the idea of the waterless wash with use of the Eraser sheets! I didn’t even know there was such a thing.
