Luckily it was confirmed that the NY/BKN trade was contingent on the HOU/BKN deal. If Houston rejected the deal, Brooklyn doesn't sent Bridges to the Knicks and those picks are probably 8-15.

They will most likely try and go after KCP. Personally my biggest goal would be Hartenstein too. I've been wanting him since the Clippers screwed up and let him go.. But another big reason, is not only is he everything we need in a C. You're taking him away from your biggest rival. I'd have no problem throwing him the 18 to 20mil. I think the number will be at least 20.. 22.5. They could go for a player looking to reestablish himself in the league in Andre Drummond. Who's a true big C, he needs to continue his conditioning. He was once an All-Star level C that used to bust Myles azz in Detroit every time they played. He has some post game, but is an absolute monster on the glass. This team needs to add as many weapons as possible. I like Andre, because he's grown a lot and realized your time in the NBA isn't something to take for granted. Ever since he's worked very hard and getting back into form. He will be about 9mil.. Abother player with more Offensive game and just as good on the glass. Probably more so Offensive glass, a lil older. Jonas Valanciunas, but we need to be careful. Because we don't want to get away from our fast pace style. We would need to get Hartenstein first.. Or at least a faster/bigger Rim running/rebounding C that's bigger than 6'9 200 poind Isaiah Jackson. Pascal needs to be better at the 3 and should play a bit more PF. The dude can't be a brick layer from 3 and only be a Small Ball C making 43 mil a year.. Upgrade the SF, or at least add guys who can play legit defense with some size.. why I like the idea of an NBA ready player at the SF. A 22 year old Keshad Johnson would be perfect. Dude is basically a taller version of Shannon Brown. Maybe you then add that Defensive player of the year. PG Jamal Shead to eventually replace McConnell one day.. Or at least gives you tbe opportunity of having the idea of moving a guard if need be.. Jaylen Wells is a great young 6'8 guard/forward who is hella efficient everywhere. Can get his shots in all ways. But needs a couple year's to get into his NBA body.. There are also a couple guy's left in the draft that are very similar to Nembhard. In Trey Mitchell and I can't remember the other one like AJay Mitchell. This team can always find another Nembhard, so js. If we need to make a move. TJ wouldn't be grandfathered in either. Make him an Assistant coach.. But move him this year and sell while high. Fill our positions of need at SF and get an experienced guard/forward like a KCP. If I'd been the Pacers I liked Kel'el Ware enough that I'd considered moving on from Myles to have gotten a player the pick for Ware and a future pick of some kind. I know this draft wasn't the best.. But it has some very talented player's. A lot of bigs and guy's sprinkled all over. A lot of the later picks, will turn out to be the better player's in this draft. Miami got a great all around player in Ware. Dude's a walking double double and can do everything.

3 team trade. Chi. Houston. Phoenix. Suns get brooks, picks and green Houston gets Williams and Durant Chi gets Jabari Smith Why it works. Listen Durant can play the 4 but ideally you play him at the 3 with a 3 and D...4. Sure that can be Jabari but I think Williams is a better shooter right now than Smith and Brooks. Chicago gives up a 2028 unprotected first rounder along with Williams to entic Phoenix. Phoenix bets on the bulls sucking the bulls bet on one or two of their youngsters emerging and spending money better so the 2028 pick is in the 20s. Houston gets tons of spacing to play around KD. Phoenix gets their picks back, another asset from the bulls pick and jalen green. While Houston and Phoenix can do the trade easily without the bulls. I think all three get what they want doing this. Phoenix gets assets. Houston becomes more ready to make a run and the bulls place another upside token in the upside bank hoping the bank breaks and drops gold

Was the Rockets trade to give back the Nets picks a league mandate? Rockets would be too scary with Jalen Green Jabari Smith Sengun Amen Thompson the 2024 3rd pick and the Nets 2025 and 2026 picks in a super talented draft! Why would anyone give up those prospects especially studs on rookie salaries? Only NBA mandate in the shadows make sense

Nets refused to tank without getting picks back and them being in the East doesn’t guarantee them being anything below 11th seed if they don’t loose on purpose. ATL and CHI go will join tank mode this season as well so Nets pick could be around 10th ish picks PHX could still end up 13th seed next season if one of them goes down for significant games due to MEM and SAS getting much better than last year.
@JohnJFong

@@AkagiRedSun I think the Nets are worse than 10th worst even if they don’t tank intentionally. And if Rockets trade picks for KD we know the fix is in. No sane person trades a 18 year old gf for a 40 year old when trying to conceive a child. That’s the equivalent if those 2025 picks are traded for a near retiring athlete.

They only gotta give Jalen Green and the picks back to do so. If Suns trade for it tonight they’ll get the 3rd pick on top but if they wait till all star break they gotta trade KD for minimum. Houston is already comfortable replacing Jalen for Cam Whitmore

The biggest trade so far this summer is Brooklyn getting their picks back not the Mikal Bridges trade. The Nets are set up SO nicely for 2025. Saying the "picks don't matter" in the NBA is asinine! Getting the pick back from Houston and controlling your future is a smart, smart move! This was a BIG deal. The trade to the Knicks would not have happened without a trade with the Rockets (more of a 3-team deal).

Nets picks were gonna be 10th ish pick in the East thanks to teams like DET, WAS, ATL, CHA and CHI loosing purposely for the draft picks. Nets could still be in Play-in spot since they don’t need to tank if HOU still had a picks. Meanwhile even 25 PHX swap could net us just as great of chance of getting high draft pick next year due to 13 teams in the West being competitive

@AkagiRedSun

Nets picks were not great if they refused to tank for it in the East. If Nets were in the West yes that picks were golden but in the East they can still knock on play-in spot thanks to five teams going into rebuild mode starting next season and Bucks might rebuild too in 2yrs as well. There’s high chance PHX could be have a disaster of a season even with trio returning if one of them goes down again since Memphis and Spurs are not tanking next season so only leaving POR and UTA as bad team in the West
