I want a little folding sail of some kind so I can sit down and go upwind . I’m in my sixties and my back hurts watching the guy trying to do this. Since no one has a usable product at this time I may need another boat. Maybe a flat kayak or plastic sup with a mast.

Thanks for the video, this was really informative in terms of feet placement. I have a question though. How far along the length of the SUP should the stick on base be placed? In a video by Slingshot they place it around 75cm from the center of the rear fin, but I've seen other videos recommending to place it on the exact middle. Does the height of the center fin also play a role on this? The Slingshot fin appears to be around 40cm, while the more "typical" stick on fins available in the market appear to be around 20+cm (same as the existing rear fin of the SUP). Thanks!!

I see that Slingshot says the stick on base is only for a hard board but then they use them on their own inflatable boards. I have only inflatable boards and want to try winging. Should I get the strap on system or can I make the SS stick on fin work?

Great question Scott! The Slingshot production boards which feature the SUP Winder fin are seam welded on rather than stuck on so they can stay on. You can use the stick on SUP Winder with an inflatable SUP but it won't stay on forever. The skin doens't adhere as well as a fiberglass board, especially if it's constantly inflated/deflated. We find they typical stick for about 3 months before peeling off. You can re-stick them with contact cement and that helps. -Tucker
