It takes some practice but is easier than what some folks may think. Main thing is your lip placement. Once you get that down the rest will come quickly. I just fooled a turkey with one today.

@@mossescreekoutdoors5765 I have hunted and practiced for 45+ years with different calls. My favorite are box calls but have great appreciation wingbone. Seems to me hens have a couple of different accents for lack of a better word and a wingbone call mimics some turkeys better than any other call with yelps, clucks and kee kee. Kinda lacking in fast cuts and cackle department though but good old assembly Yelp or some yelps with a cluck or two thrown in will get mr whiskers in just as much trouble as some fancy cutting.

@@lukedog7028 Wingbones do have their own sounds alright! It's my main killer now days! Just a sound most Turkeys never hear and they will gobble to it lots of times when they won't really answer to anything else.

i got a long ways to go on turkeys, but this call is awesome as a predator call. Put it in the corner of mouth and squeal and squeak. I wish I had not gotten cedar as I can taste it when using. Will that go away with time?

It should somewhat or mostly. I've never really had any taste issues in the past. Try alcohol maybe. I'm not sure what else may work. Let me know if it doesn't get any better.
