Holy smokes Rick. I can't believe these videos are free. Dan Harlan did a similar series of videos available for purchase about the Tarbell books. I am pretty sure we all own them at this point. As far as my favorite Bobo routine, it's whatever one I am watching you do an easier to follow tutorial on if I can be honest here. I've poured over my copy of Bobo's, just like I've done with my copies of Tarbells, and the videos really make it easier to follow and actually do correctly. Thank you again for these, they're simply incredible!

@@RickHolcombehey sorry to ask you again this question Rick about the Viajero vs. Traveler....I'm going to definitely get both but am curious about the neat feature of the Traveler. I really like the jumbo coin production as a funny ending to a routine . Here's the last question on this.....will the Traveler work in the same kind of way the Viajero does for 3 Strange Things? I believe you said it will .

Rick, you are a treasure. Love seeing behind the scene, what thinking goes into a great routine. I was trying to picture how I might use a "natural" coin attractor like a purse. Or maybe one of those red Chinese envelopes used for money as a wedding gift. "Lucky" has a strong association with Chinese culture, so it's an easy sell. An Okito box of course works, but I think that needs more cognitive investment since it's an unfamiliar object. Just that we call it an Okito box routine rather than Winged Silver tells us something. Thanks again for your vids!

Thanks so much for the kind words! I could see Winged Silver being adapted to an Okito Box, for sure. All you need to consider is how you're going to load the extra coin in each time. The advantage is is would look more "hands off". If you haven't seen it, check out Rooster's "Okito Fly " routine. It has become one of my favorites.

Rick that is awesome. This is the first time I've properly understood this trick where the ring element really takes away any suspicion of an extra coin 😃💯♥️ so good!

Really nice breakdown Rick!....I dont have Bobo's and it would definitely be more challenging if I were to try learning from reading alone,.... you're videos are first class level, especially for a new coin worker like myself. Im a visual learner and benefit from seeing the moves, timing, motivation , flow, etc... Im really in love with your beginner friendly routine, 3 Strange Things......its definitely within my reach and I just love how you incorporate the Viajero wallet, its truly a beautiful wallet the way it looks and works...and it reels people in even more how they dance with the coins throughout each phase. Im still deciding on whether to get the Viajero or Jeffs Traveler wallet first, definitely getting both at some point! Thanks again for your generous giving , you are hats down the best, friendliest, and most enjoyable coin teacher on the Tube👌💯🤝

I have both a viajero & a traveller. I absolutely love both. The color varieties available with the viajero are awesome and the leather is very soft which is nice. However if you have to pick just one, i would lean towards the Traveller wallet. The Traveller not only has an extra feature in its construction that allows for some great magic not possible with the viajero, but it comes with a near 3 hour download teaching several great routines and tons of sleights. I never leave home with out my Traveller and I highly recommend it. For the cost, its one of the best purchases for any coin worker.

I'm a card guy that has been learning coins as a challenge to myself. Roth's Winged Silver on Edge from Expert Coin Magic is the first coin routine I felt comfortable enough to perform in front of people. My father has always enjoyed my magic and his response was just "well I don't know how you did that". I love this one.

@@RickHolcombe my phone autocorrected "has" to "had"...my dad is still around but my comment may have led you to believe otherwise. When I was in middle school and had to do job shadow day, he helped arrange for me to shadow the guy who ran the magic shop by his office. My friend and I just hung out while he did every trick in the shop for us. I still perform this one and the second coin routine I performed for people...Roth's Hanging Coins. I'm currently working on his Wild Coin One from Coinmagic.

Really nice video! I'm watching the Expert coin magic tapes (as per your recommendation from another video) and have been practicing the Roth version for a while. It was really nice seeing this original version too, to put it into context 😀 By the way, where would you recommend a beginner to go after the Expert coin magic made easy dvds? Again, wonderful video. It was something beautiful about that over the shoulder view with the book, those really nice coins, the ring and the mat, just so aesthetically pleasing!
