This man really is a miracle. He was in the biggest band in the world for 10 years and dealt with crazy ass fans and a crazy stressful schedule-all before the age of 28! Then he lost his dream and his best friends in a nightmare situation I can’t even imagine dealing with. He almost let himself die from drink and depression until he found the courage to try again with his amazing wife by his side. And with hard work, a little faith, and the patented Paul McCartney charm he accomplished the unthinkable: fronting **another** world famous band for 10 years scoring LOADS of #1 songs and albums the entire time-Paul had a #1 song EVERY YEAR from 1970 to 1980. He is insanely talented and I’m so proud of him for putting himself out there again after The Beatles-I adore Wings so much. Paul has made millions of people happy for sixty years and that in itself is something few other (if any) artists can say. Thank you Paul, you are a true one and only ❤

Watching this video, made me realize just how many Wings songs I loved, and forgot all about, until today, a quiet November Saturday at home, grieving the loss of a fellow Beatle loving friend, Jimi Image...we used to spend hours, playing Beatles songs in the 80's singing along with our own harmonies, and we knew every word to every song. So when he passed away, I came here to post the interview on Jimi's page, where Paul plays John's song "Beautiful Boy," and breaks into tears, cause that's how I was feeling about losing Jimi...autoplay was on, and it rolled right into this video. Change is inevitable it was always a mystery to me "why" the Beatles broke up, but people can outgrow each other, and business matters can ruin any relationship. What is truly amazing is that these guys were so talented that they could stand alone on their own albums. Their distinctive voices and harmonies will remain forever a classic legendary sound. Loved the Rolling Stones, but no one can compare to the "Beatles".

That footage of Let It Be still breaks my heart…I was 7 years old, the announcement had just been made that The Beatles were calling it quits, my whole world was ending and the news cast ended with that clip of Paul singing let it be and I was sobbing my little broken heart out. I still feel that little girl’s pain. I can also say, as the world’s greatest procrastinator I’m so sorry, Uncle Albert..is still my mantra and the first record I ever owned which was a Christmas present from Mum and Dad was Ram..then every Wings album thereafter…making Xmas gift gifting pretty easy for them. I won Venus and Mars in a Violet Crumble competition….I also gots Linda’s Pictures for my birthday and still treasure it. It’s a piece of music history, unparalleled….all that to say, Paul and Linda were great together, and they somehow combined down-to-earth family life and rock and roll, and made it work. Linda left this earth way too soon..this is a lovely tribute.

Loved the acoustic and harmonies on “Bluebird”. I’d quite forgotten how much my sister and I loved Wings. We were immersed in Beatles all our childhoods (b. 1958 & 1960). By the time Band on the Run came out, she was around 15, we a couple of years later, when what was left of our family splintered, it was me and sis, me bunking on the sofa in her damp rented flat. We’d play this & Red Rose Speedway endlessly. They weren’t the “great days” you’d hope your teens to be, but for us, it was a period of glorious, predictable calm, after years of severe tension at what passed for home.

Very very sad to lose her, she was such a world person in her thoughts with so much compassion, a fantastic artist, clever, smart, and so lovely in general. As a 50 year old who got married at 19, I love this. I've always looked up to their marriage. I was a high-school dropout when I met my future wife. I had really long hair and looked like a total hippie/rocker. I grew up and am still happily married. I rarely had girlfriends as a teen. I had friends who always seemed to be in a serious relationship - they couldn't be alone. None of them stayed married to one person oddly.

Mac was very lucky to have met Linda. He had a lot on his plate and could have gone a self-destructive path but she helped him through the legalities of his past and, through slowing their lives down, a self exploration of who he was. It’s very hard starting all over when you’ve been on top and with her and the kids (and animals), he jump-started his career and himself. In other words, as strange as it sounds folks, he needed her much more than she needed him. Yet she took it on herself (having to deal with the bullshit of marriage of an ex-Beatles) and helped To create a new, healthy, Paul McCartney. For all who love his music, we all owe her a great debt. Thank You!, Linda Eastman-McCartney.

When they were growing up, their Children lead a relatively "normal" life and that's saying alot when you look at the Children of The Beach Boys, not to mention Ronnie Wood's Children in The Rolling Stones. They went to a Regular School, had a regular allowance, did chores, had to work no privileges whatsoever. Even James his "Only" Son knows he has such big shoes to fill whenever he performs but he's done it all, wait tables, work as a sculptor and although he knows he'll never live up to his Father's Achievements, he's happy with his lot. I hear he loves Nancy Shevell alot.
