I considered this stove, but chose the original Seek Outside Titanium Cub Stove (not the Cub U-Turn). The original Seek Outside Cub Stove had a solid panel firebox whereas the Cub U-Turn has a foil firebox. I did order mine with the cooktop from the Cub U-Turn stove because it has the 2.5 inch stovepipe aperture that I wanted, and I ordered an additional base panel to use as a snow platform. If I remember correctly my stove weighs one pound, plus the 9 foot titanium foil stovepipe. Weight was important, but I specifically wanted the firebox size of 6" x 6" x 9", and I think its the perfect combination of size and weight. I made a grate from expanded titanium mesh for use with smokeless charcoal briquettes., and a sheet of stove glass replaces the door. Whilst expensive, it was exactly what I wanted and I consider it to be perfect for my application. Like Packrafts, titanium tent stoves have become increasingly popular, leading to new manufacturers and a wider range.

Wow! thats crazy light, but I guess the fire is 1/3rd smaller and the chimney a foot shorter. Great to hear that it is enough as my only concern was if it would put of enough heat to keep my little tipi warm, but think I will be toastie. Thanks for sharing👍

No experience with any other stove, so can`t recommend anything sorry. If weight is not a concern I would look at the cheaper stainless steel stoves though. Any titanium stove warps as it gets glowing hot, so have to run them at lower temperatures. You can probably abuse a cheaper one with less wories.@@aywithbeard

Because they say it's for hiking, doesn't actually mean it is. makes no sense to use this stove outside, so you'd need to carry a tent with a stove jack built in. And are you going to bring the mast with you hiking? the stove pipe is made to roll out without help and without creases. The only time this would be useful hiking is in the winter when yer pulling a sled to carry the tent and the stove.
