As others have said, if they wanted to have the girls to have a gun, use a shotgun. It's relatively easy to get a licence for that here. That could explain the limited ammo too, Or a crossbow (As far as I remember, you don't need a licence for one), the relatively slow reloading time could have been a story beat. If they were desperate for them to have a hand gun, then it should have been one with a post on it, meaning it is classed as a carbine. Have one of the girls be in a shooting club or something. Most places in the UK have decent mobile phone coverage. To me this looks more like "Hey Winnie The Pooh is public domain, we have to make something fast before everyone else does it" instead of "How can we make a good movie?"

My biggest gripe is they couldn't even get the 100 acre wood right, it's supposed to be in Ashdown forest .Ashdown forest is not what the film makes it look like, it's not canada or the american woods that wrong turn and such are done in, it's a lot of heathland and then plenty of woodland that's not the sort of deep pine forest you can easily get lost in, it's criss crossed in trails and rights of way. Second, they have none of these silly run down gas stations here in uk, especially in the south of england, and the people there aren't hill billies, they don't exist. In fact it's a very well off area with plenty of london people deciding to live there. You can tell they wanted to make this film set in england but realised that the real ashdown forest wouldn't be remote and dangerous enough, so they had to make it american style forest or else the film would be over a lot faster if they know it'd probably only take them a hour to get to a village by foot.

Thought it absolutely wasted using the Winnie the Pooh name. It did nothing story-wise and that's the entire appeal. "WHOA, A MURDEROUS POOH BEAR, THIS SHOULD BE INTERESTING." lol God was it boring. The kills are decent, effects are cheap, but I would assume a small budget, so that's acceptable, but in no way should anyone actually pay to see this. If it is free, give it a watch, you might enjoy aspects of it, but otherwise, skippable. Play this on a "bad movie night" with some friends but don't go out of your way. I don't know the laws on it in England, but in Sweden if you've been assaulted and the threat remains present it is possible to apply for a hidden carry license. Considering the girl had a stalker, that could have been an easy explanation if they absolutely needed a gun. Also, fun fact, the gun problem in America England mirrors in it's knife problem, with stabbings being so common an artist was allowed to create a 27ft tall statue made entirely of knives used in violent crimes.

She could have got a licence for a rifle or shotgun. She would not be allowed to carry them on her person in most cases, but she could have it in a locked gun box. In the film, have the girls going to a shooting weekend or something. Pistols like the one shown are effectively illegal here after the Dunblane Massacre. They need to have a long pole on the back to make them long enough they cannot be easily hidden, classing them as carbines. Or she could have had a crossbow.

The part about not making wild animals dependent on humans for food and then abandoning them is a sound premise, but these aren't regular animals. They're some kind of strange hybrids that have enough human characteristics to use tools and plot revenge and bury Eeyore in a marked grave; but they weren't able to think to go out and look for food? I mean, this is southern England, not the Yukon. How far would they have had to walk in any direction before finding a farm or a village or anything where they could hide on the outskirts and raid the bins at night? When Christopher Robin came back, at the worst he should have found them all moderately annoyed at him.

I saw the casting call for the Bamby sequel, they are not paying those poor scrubs anywhere near enough.
