Jeff has countless Alviso videos showing his competitors how to beat him. Plus, it's human nature for Jeff to get a little complacent given how many times he's won.

Here's some inside info. :p Matt won today. Blaine won last week from a late 3-man break. Matt won two weeks ago from an early 3-man break. (full race on my channel) Max won three weeks ago on a late flier w/Asian Donald assist. Will Jeff ever win again?! I kid, I kid.

My rule in crits and zwift racing is never be the wheel that goes after the solo. I let others go after the solo. Preferably we let the solo hang out there and cook as very few riders can sit off the front of a bunch for too long, but I will never be the wheel that chases the solo down, pulling the bunch up.
@kidsafe

Except that's how the winning break was formed a couple weeks ago. Rich went solo, I bridged up to him solo, then Matt bridged up to us solo. I mean, what happens when the guy you're following flicks his elbow? That's what us breakaway types are counting on. We love it when you do this.

I think most guys in P1/2 ride like 15-20 hours per week. if you aren't riding at least 10 or more hours per week you are unlikely to be very competitive at crit racing. Jeff has a pretty good training series if you watch it . . .

holding speed, even 45kph+, when you hit the wind (on the front) takes way less effort/power than surging&accelerating up to the same speed.
