Hello Stiliyan! Another beautiful video. Looks very much like my part of the country. ( Northern Idaho State, USA ) Very good camp. I make my camp very similar. I also see that you treat your dog with love and kindness. That is how a real man does it. Thank you for that. I will make a knife for you this Spring. Very good, very strong.

Thank you Stiliyan. I would love to come to Bulgaria. What time of the year is best? Do you live near Sofia? If you ever come to USA, you must stay with my family. You are welcome at my table. Are you also a musician?

I think I'd find it very difficult surviving in those conditions, but I find the way you live to be really appealing. I've lost touch with the planet from years of living in the city. Thanks so much for sharing this. It's really inspiring.

Hi Stiliyan! I hope all is well with you. I'm doing it. I bought a tent and some supplies today, and I'm going into the hills for a week or so. It's not going to be at your level, It's very hot here at the moment, so compared to what you're doing, it'll look like I'm on holiday. I'm in Auckland, New Zealand, and am going into the Waitakere ranges for a few days and will stay at the smallest campsites I can find. I've never done anything like this before, but for a while now I've had an irresistible urge to get to know Mother Earth a bit better. See the Milky Way without the light pollution. But anyway.... Thank you friend, for doing what you do and sharing it with us. You've helped inspire me to make a decision to do something that I've been wanting to do for 20 years. Take care Stiliyan, I'll see you out there =)

Hi Stiliyan, I hope you're keeping warm up there. Well, I did it. I disappeared into the forest for 6 days. There's laws against just turning up somewhere beautiful and pitching a tent, so I had to look for a campground. I found the most remote one, which is several hours walk from the nearest road. I made a lot of mistakes. The first mistake was that I approched it from the south, instead of the north, mainly due to an error on the Auckland Council website. So all up, it took me 16 hours overall to get my gear to the camp. Second mistake, I was carry nearly 40kg. Although 10 of that was water, which got very much lighter, very fast. It was scorching hot. The biggest thing I learned is that my life hasn't been so in-the-moment as it was out there, and I've already got my next trip planned for the end of this month. It's nothing compared to what you've done. If I tried to do what you are able to do, I'd be dead within about 3 minutes. The only issue I had was I ran out of water on day 2, so had to make a small fire so I could boil water. The water had a light green colour to it, and as it had been boiled over the fire it tasted and smelled of wood smoke. But to me, in that moment, it was beautiful tasting. Thank you again for inspiring me Stiliyan. I'm so glad you did. Looking forward to seeing your next vid. Take care my friend!

Why not make the base two slightly smaller diameter logs together and just put your kindling in between then and balance a third bigger log on the two wedges? More stable and less axe work?
