After spending two winters in my Tiny House, I've learned a thing or two about winterizing. In this video, I detail the ways I prepare my Tiny House and appliances for winter.
Keep in mind, every Tiny House (and appliance) is different. Use this video as a guide, but also double check with your chosen appliance manufacturers. Some appliances are not meant for winter use. In this video I am hooked up to the grid. Off-grid winterizing is a slightly different process. For example, electricity would need to be generated from solar or a gas generator. You also may need to dig a french drain for your grey water, below the frost line, in early autumn (if no sewer is available).
